Everyday, we continue to make improvements to Swingular so our members have the best features and options for the money. We are also ranked in the top 10 of all search engines for anything swinger related. We get hundreds of new sign ups each day. Our prices our low enough that it doesn't break the bank. However, there are some new members who do not end up buying a membership.
So we are asking our members to let us know a few things to help us attract more members. Please post a reply here with answers to the following questions:

Our 'determining factors' were site design/layout, pricing and the fact that the admin is still active. We enjoy the chat and the ability to control who sees our photos. We're still looking forward to 'groups', 'stories' and 'polls' working again 
I like the idea that if I buy a membership it indicates to others that I've committed to the lifestyle and site.
please provide the option to only see birthdays with profile picture
i thought it would be a way i could make friends. oh well will soon delete my profile. seemed i guess wrong
We don`t care for the new site layout. We sign on once a week if that, just to see if we recieved any mail. We have referred the site to a few people but they all end up with the same feelings about the site as us. The forums used to drive this site. They became moderated and with the redesign, not as noticeable on the front page. When we enter a site, we look for activity. People chatting tells us something about them and helps us decide who to contact. We also liked how the birthday notices used to be. It just seems you need to be a bit more computer literate to use this site now and some people are just not as capable as others. Me being one of the less capable.

The old layout was better! Its just to slow now, it takes to long to look at pictures and profiles, and no its not my computer! there was a noticable difference after the renovation.
I agree with PITMOMMY... the site overhaul has slowed things down quite a bit... even just to login?! Once you are "in" you get jammed up once you click to view a profile, then it lags to bring up the pictures. I know it's not my computer also.... It seems that once you click on the link for public pics, the site hits a snag and locks up for a bit before it dumps you in on the picture page. I would think that the money and/or time admin took to redo this site would warrant a better and faster site- or least a refund or fix-its!!

we also liked the old layout, but have found that the new layout has some nice things.
down sides: can't choose between the public pic, and private pic, you have to return to profile what for it to load, then pic the private, and wait, wait , wait, wait, oh it loaded, nope still waiting.
it was great on the old layout to see the forum up at the top, and the last person's profile pic who posted last.

The one time price was the main decision maker for us, ongoing monthly billing would have had us opting out until we were really looking for something specific.
The new search has more options but it is weird and not very intuitive with the duplicated sections and no real explanation of how to use the advanced searches. Yes one can figure it out by trying lots of options till something works but thats not a very friendly way to keep people.

The factor that made us decide to purchase a membership was the number of local couples, and the fact that you have a system in place to verify them. We had started on another site, and quickly learned that not all "couples" were indeed couples. This was a refreshing and welcome feature. One thing we would like to see it the ability to IM people who are online, but not in the chat room. This would need to be a feature that members would turn on so they didn't get bombarded with IM requests when they didn't want them. It could have controls such as allow only friends, block singles or couples, or only allow those on our allowed list. Another idea would to have fun contests for paid members only. Maybe offer a bonus for members who refer another member(s) who then purchase a membership. We do like the booty call section. We also like the forums, these we discovered later and have really enjoyed.
We never got to see the old layout, but yes we agree with others. The profiles do seem slow. We joined because the price was right and we like to look at the forum post. Will be looking foward to any and all upgrades.
We were referred by some friends. We were never swingers before. We always talked about fantasies but, didn't know how to bring them into reallity. Our first experience was at a party we were invited to from this site. We love the things we have expetienced and the friends we have met (some of whom we have not played with but, have developed great friendships with.)

I rarely sign on anymore other than to check mail or look for upcoming events. The new forums make it too difficult to glance over topics. It's actually a pain to navigate. The path is too narrow. The old forums were laid out in a manner that made it easy to browse and find a topic of interest.

You need to explain how to add photos. We are not that computer savy and don't know how to do it. Also since we have become members, we have not had any luck with responses. Probably due to the fact we don't have pics with our profile. We are lifetime members of swinglifestyle and have much more response, but we do have pics on there. They also give the option of e-mailing your pics to them and they add them to your profile which is what we did. We also had trouble finding how to add this opinion and had to do some searching with that too. Overall, your site is still hard to navigate thru.
I was invited by a couple from that was on the site and have enjoyed the time I have been a member. There are 2 things that I would like to see, the first is deleting inactive members (2 years or longer without any use and temp members (after a year), they are idle and are dead space. The other was was talked about a while back but nothing was done about it, Varifing Single Males, it would help with both singles and couples knowing that the single male is real and maybe cut down some of the trolls. I like the new site it has taken a little time to get use to but over all I think it is great.

What do we like about this site pretty much everything we have met some awesome people. Administration is great to fix problems when they arise...I do like the old birthday list better where it is all on one page and i did like the other forums better right at the top of the page (they just got noticed more there) other than that great site great people and we will be members for life...

Would like to see the groups come back, also the IM system. Both handy ways to get conversations going. Been a long time member short time payer lol. Liked the lifetime price. This site doesn't seem slow to us, but don't have a lot to compare to
We would have to agree with one of the recurring sentiments. Ever since the overhaul. Page loads, viewing pics and most navigation has become much slower and more difficult. We like the look of the new site but feel it was a rather paltry trade off to have the functionality suffer across the board.
Something to entice people would have porn on demand. We transferred here from adult friend finder, and love it because there are way more people and events in utah. The only thing adult friend finder has that this doesn't is XXX video on demand that is free to members (or included in the membership price; however you want to look at it). Just another feature I would like would be a notification when someone responds to my forum post.

The price combined with the fact that the sites features were great was what made our decision. Seriously, the lifetime membership is what other sites charge for 1-3 months depending on the plan you buy. While we liked the old layout better, we do like the new features like the expanded profiles with all the likes and dislikes. Overall, Swingular is by far the best value. It provides every feature a competing site provides (a site that charges about $120 for a lifetime membership) and then goes above and beyond by offering things such as video chat. We are still finding new features, but anyone who looks seriously at comparable sites should see this site has all the extras at the lowest possible price.
Maybe you could add in a age range that others are looking for.

A friend told us about the site and said they had great luck on here...... he found us on some other site.... the price was great.... i think it would help if even thought they have a free mouth membership. that they could sent measagees back so they know the peeps that send one are real

The new site layout is OK and maybe prettier than the old layout but not much of an improvement as far as function goes.
As others have said the site performance is poor especially when it comes to looking at profile images. Very frustrating.

As stated in a few previous posts the ability to show off as a featured member seems to have disappeared or become at least imposiible to find since the upgrade. Though we appreciate that this site provides a way to meet and stay in touch with like minded people we have to say the quality of the user experience has gone down since the revamp. Though it is asthetically more pleasing the site has become slower, pictures do not work properly, navigation takes an intermidably longer duration and if we leave the site open without using it for more than twenty min it often becomes unresponsive and will even freeze our IE8. Many of the couples we know have complained of just such things so we kno it is not our PC alone.
Maybe you could add a "Spell Checker"!!!!

1. What was the determining factor to get you to buy a membership?
I loved the lifetime membership and the great price. Also there are a lot of hot people on here.
2. What features were a big part of your decision?
A. I really liked the group feature which no longer works. Also the Video gallery is nice, but I can't add any videos to it.
3. Are there features you didn't know about until you discovered them later?
A. I like the addition of the booty call. I love the new IM, and I haven't had really any issues with the site being slow.
4. What do you think could have helped you make a quicker decision?
A. I was a bronze member for a while. It would have been nice if there was a trial period where I could have sent a couple of emails, or a limited number of emails a day.
5. Do you have any ideas that could help entice more members to purchase a membership?
A. I enjoy on other sites where it sends a weekly email showing pictures of members in my area, or pictures of members that meet a desired compatibility. I think that helps members to gain more interest. Also it would help if we received emails when we are added to a friends list, or comments. I think that the group idea was fantastic, but there wasn't much involvement. I like the idea of the polls, as well as being able to rate members pictures. A lot of people use those type of features on other sites. It would be nice to see who visits our profile as well. That can help engage people interest. I would love to be able to see more people use the chat feature. I don't understand why we have so many people online, but not many people using the chat. Another idea is an option where someone can send an invite to an email to join the site. (maybe an exclusive price or the member can get points where they can redeem for a shirt or thong or something.)
