What does it do and how do we see the score?
Supposedly if a forum gets too many thumbs down votes, it gets bumped off the front page. It doesn't allow you to see the score. Not sure how effective it is as once I leave the forum and come back I can re-vote. :S

The voting system is a way to self-regulate the forums. If someone becomes a bother or gets off topic and members don't like it, they can vote for that post to become hidden. If after calculating the number of likes vs dislikes, the amount of votes exceeds a threshold, the post is automatically hidden. However, it is still viewable by anyone who clicks the 'show' button. If the post gets an overwhelming amount of votes against it, it will be deleted by the system.

This system was created because we do not monitor the forums and it allows the community to self-regulate them. If used, it actually works.

HELLO_KITTY: You actually can not revote as it records your votes and only allows you to vote once. Try it, you'll see. ;)
Interesting. The only problem I can see with it is if a post can be hidden just because their opinion may be unpopular as opposed to combative or abusive. I have given thumbs down to post where I just disagree with them; I think I best not do that in the future since I do value diverse opinions.

I wasn't saying it did or didn't count my vote more than once. I said I wasn't SURE. Because if I leave the forum and come back, the vote buttons are orange again and I can go thru the whole process repeatedly. *shrugs*

I tested it on Admins post and it still shows grey days later. Hmm. Try hitting your computer. :-)
