I think if she is going to do it, she might as well make it worth her time and pain! Go big or stay home!! Make sure you are comfortable with your surgeon, ask a lot of questions, and try on lots of sizes. Ask the dr about the types of procedures he prefers or what would work best with her body. I went to my consult sure that I was going to go through my armpits, but he recommended under the breast and I am so glad I went with his suggestion.
Be prepared to be uncomfortable. Be prepared to have help. My husband had to baby me and help me out of bed for about a week. I couldn't help with our 1 year old for several weeks, couldn't even pick up a gallon of milk for a long time. You will forget the pain, and he will forget what a pain in his ass you are when you get to play with them.
At first, they will look crazy! Frankenboob - LOL - High and square, but that will pass. Get some shirts that button down so that you don't have to pull them over your head. Be patient, and most of all ENJOY THEM!!!!

Everybody I have seen or heard says pick the size you want and then go one size bigger...known a few people who have even gone back and had them done again then they were happy...kisses...Naugh-Ty

Check into lots of doctors. The wife had hers done for new years and we are both loving them. Her doctor had us out the same night as the surgery, and she was back to driving with in a couple of days, but she still needed me to help out for about three weeks with lifting and moving stuff, but she was trying to do what she could the whole time. And make sure she does her stretches afterward it helps out soooooooo much more than she will realize.
Sorry no suggestions here....just make sure that you get what you want the first time.
The new silicone gel are the best..... very natural. Go one size bigger than what you want, after they settle they will be more what you were expecting....
I went small and low profile, they had to pay again to go bigger and high profile..... If you want them to get lots of attention... go high profile!!!

I love mine!!! My surgeon was great and was home an hr after the procedure. The recovery was a breeze. I had been prepared for the worst. Some comments from people that had gotten it done said it felt like a semi ran over their chest, and that it was the equivalent and giving birth through your chest. For me, i didn't even need to take the percecet. My hubby was great in the recovery. Definately get under the muscle; there is no advantage to over the muscle except i here its less pain post op. But i would rather have a little more pain post op for a few days then have the lifetime and breasts i want rather than spare some temporary pain and be disappointed. I also got my incision under the breast per my dr recommendation. The scar is obvious when i hang upside down on a pole or lay down and raise my arms up. No matter where the incision is, there will be a scar; so decide where you wont mind it the least. I got silicone and they are wonderful. No rippling,and they look and feel natural. No regrets about anything.

I've heard stories of women that had a boob job done years ago and are still lactating. Can someone tell me if this is true? How long does the lactation last? I already spent 10 years lactating after having babies. I certainly don't want to go another 20 yrs with it. Aside from that, I would love to get mine done.

just tell ABCMAN to stop sucking for a few weeks... lol and let me do it instead....
also remember that you have to get them redone every ten years or so. and massaging them after is a must unless you want them to be hard as rocks. my boobs are still small and real but i was a stripper for 11 years and ive seen and felt a bunch! lol....if you do it though do it for yourself and not some one else!
That 10 years thing is just a recommendation, not a rule. The dr i went to said that i unless their is a problem, there is no point to get them redone. My grandma got hers done 30 years ago and my mom got hers done 20 years ago. Niether of them have ever had problems, they still look great, and they have never had them redone. massaging them every day is just necessary if you get it done over the muscle. Mine are silicone under the muscle. We never massaged them and they are wonderful; better than real. And in regards to the lactating thing, I have never heard of that before either. I have never lactated. Hope this helps.
Oh, I'm gonna get a lot of crap for THIS answer. I say "LEAVE THEM ALONE". They look strange, they don't jiggle. I (personally) believe that if it ain't broke don't fix it. The French say, if a breast fits into a champagne glass it's perfect. I'm not sure that implants don't do damage to nerves. I'm not a medical doctor (though I am a doctor), so I'm not stating facts, just opinions. More than a mouthful is wasted. So, keep what you have and enjoy the pleasures they give you and others. Bigger hurt after a while and are not sugested unless you are into the exibitionist thing. Keep them medium to medium large and save yourself the 2nd opperation to take them out. See the latest Hollywood trend and the Osbornes opinion to boot. Bigger is not better. My opinion.

I had mine done in 2002 and love them. Make sure that you get the implants under the muscle. The surgeon that I went to made the incision under the armpit and I'm glad he did. There is no noticeable scar. Make sure they don't overfill the implant this will make them firm to the touch. Best of luck.
