We are keen geocachers. We were wondering if there any other swingers into this hobby. Anyone up for a Meet & Greet & Cache?
We did geocaching in Colorado and Arizona. Have yet to try it in Utah.
I thought about it for months, then finally broke down and got a handheld. Since I consider myself a good map reader I figured I'd find my 1st within minutes. I was wrong. I had to try a 2nd day. I think not being immediately successful is what hooked me.
That sounds fun!
Okay, I admit it, I'm NOT up on all current phrases or words associated with swinging. What the F*** is Geocaching? Thank you for your patience and understanding. Swing

From the website http://www.geocaching.com

Geocaching is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache
Thanks Thought. Now I don't feel so dumb.
I've thought about maybe getting into it a bit.

Do you think it would work to buy a $10 keychain camera to leave at the site - and request finders to photograph themselves and leave the camera for the next "finder"?

Maybe if there was a site people could go to and see all the pictures that were taken?
Big fun... Problem is that it is really family oriented.
It would be great to have an Adult Geocaching weekend... There are a few on here that we would love to find...and touch or play with their treasures... LOL
We love to go geocaching. When ever we go on a trip we always find a few. Found a couple in mexico last year. We should do a meet and greet geocaching party.
Let me see if I understand some of the responses; the idea of a geocached camera is interesting, but there are concerns of what pictures are taken?

I'm thinking a little keychain camera - like you can get for about $5.00? No "what did the picture look like" - so the pictures are anonymous until they're downloaded, and $5 I can afford to have ... um ... traded for other treasures.

And when there *are* pictures that need care, I can put them behind a signup system.

The only issue left then is if someone trades for other treasure ... and doesn't like what's on the camera.

Have I got this right? Did I miss anything?
I think it would be fun to have an adult themed geocache group. We will watch to see if a group appears.
If the idea of adult geocaching sounds good, you might want to look into hashing.

oops, I didn't mean to imply that hashers are swingers. Hashers just like to have a good time with other adults, run/walk throught the city/woods, and have a couple of beverages while singing raunchy not kid-friendly songs.

It's worth a look.
