I am asking for the opinions of everyone on the site as well as everyones participation in a fun little adventure of putting together a little cookbook compiled of everyones favorite recipes for parties, BBQs, and get togethers.
The finished product would be a very nice hard bound book [pictures optional]
Each participant can choose to either have their name or handle under who submitted a particular recipe... EXAMPLE: submitted by G. Stephens or submitted by HoneyDo69
or it can be left blank
I think it would be a wonderful community project
What do you think?

I could only imagine some of the dishes that could end up in the list.... not a bad idea!
Sounds like fun. Count us in.
As long as various alcholic drink recipes are included as well. I can't tell you how many times I've loved a drink made for me and then have either have no idea in the first place or simply can't remember how to make it at home.

I have recieved emails in favor of this adventure as well as seeing the responses here. I am all for accepting the food recipes as well as drink recipes [I have a few I would like to add as well]. So I say let's get started!!
Recipes can be for either food or drinks
1.Name of Recipe
a. List all ingrediants and measurements
b. Then state how to mix it up
2.Put down how you would like 'Submitted by' to be [your name or handle or anonymous]
You can submit as many as 5 recipes but no more then this as we want to have others in the book as well
If you like, also add a title suggestion for the cookbook.
EXAMPLES:
The Party Cookbook
THE SMORGASBORD OF SWINGERS
are two of the suggested titles thus far
You can post them here and I will grab them daily/weekly [depending on submissions] or you can send them to me via HoneyDo69. LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!

Breast augmented Turkey....
Ingreedients:
1 turkey
2 lemons
2 cubes (real) butter
Spices and seasonings to taste.
1. After removing neck n gizzard bag carefully seperate the skin of the breasts fron the meat (go through the neck area.)
2. Slice 2 lemons in proportinate halves depending on the cup size desired. (the butt end of the lemon forms a more life like nipple)
3. Carefully place the lemons in the desired local between the skin and breast meat.
4. Spice and season as desired for flavor, place 1 cube butter in body cavity, generously rub and goop the other cube all over the outside of the turkey. (as if giving a nice sensual massage taking care to keep augmented breasts in approporiate position.)
5. Cook as normally cook a turkey, covered loosely as you need to baste every 15 minutes to achive that taunt skin forming around the newly augmented breasts.
6. Uncover the last 1/2 hr to 45 min to achive that golden brown tanning bed tan and achive crispiness.
The lemons release their juice durring cooking and lightly flavor the breast meat with a subtle hint of lemon.... go figure.......
I dont eat bird because of allergys, But sara says its the best turkey she has ever had...(my first one)

HONEYDO - I need to run something by you regarding my recipe submissions, butt I can't e-mail you (I appear to be blocked) and I'd prefer to not bring it up here.
Thanx.
Thanx.
Thank you OGDENBICPL and ABCMAN for your recipes. They have been added so feel free to add more

Lets not let this fall by the wayside... tell us your favourite recipes
We're just trying to decide which ones to do...Lucky is such a wonderful cook and has soooo many...will post some soon
Kisses...Naugh-Ty

Keep in mind you can post up to 5 recipes and if we find ourselves short of the mark come deadline you can post more. Each recipe shows who submitted it [default is swingular handle unless otherwise specified] and those who wish to submit pics will find them in the book as well. Like I said this is a community adventure and everyone who participates will be placed in print
I will be adding a couple more recipes myself... 'Chicken Nachos' and 'Jello Shots'.

We need to come up with a VERY SPECIAL Swingular drink recipe for the cookbook. This can be used when we sponsor an evening at an event or club. So we are going to start a contest. The person who concocts the best recipe, that any member can make, and the majority of members, including men and women, who like it, will win a $50 Restaurant Gift Certificate sponsored by Restaurant.com.
It has to have a very creative name with Swingular attached to it as well. Let's see some ideas!
It will be the 'OFFICIAL' drink of Swingular.com and get it's very own page on Swingular with the winners credit attached.

Speaking of delicious, MsTrixee sent me this tasty recipe....
TRIXIEE'S WISCONSIN CHILI
2# hamburger
1 chopped onion
1 tablespoon of chopped garlic
1 bunch celery chopped
red pepper
spaghetti
ground cumin
kidney or red beans (2 cans)
chili powder
1/4 cup flour
salt and pepper
Brown hamburger ,drain grease and add garlic and onion.
Mix together and simmer for about 20 min. Just so the
garlic and onion cook into the hamburger.
Take flour and mix your spices in the flour. I use
about 1/4 teaspoon of cumin, 1/8 teas of red pepper
and 1/4 cup chili powder. It all depends how spicy you
want it. Mix all the spices together with the flour and
put in the pot and mix it together.
I fill the pot with water about half full.
I add the celery and cook till celery is tender. I then
add my cooked spaghetti and the kidney beans and check
for taste. You may have to add or subtract on the
spices. Trial and error.
This is NOT a thick chili ... But it is very hearty!
Thank you Trixiee!! Come on peeps I know you all have at least a few favorites you like to slap together and treat your guests at the parties... let's share! [this includeds the admins as well!!]

.... We think it should be simple, have a purpose, and taste good...
- Orange Juice
- Buttershots
- top off with a shot of Bacardi 151
- light on fire
- serve
this may not sound like it tastes good, but we think it does
and the OJ is good for ya, the buttershots gives it a sweet
indulgent taste, and the 151 on top being lit is not only a
great show, but gives it that kick to loosen inhibitions a
little. We call it the Lifestyle Screw, or Flaming Lifestyle
Screw, either way, we feel it would be a great site drink

OJ is NOT good for you.
OJ will kill you.
Orange Juice, on the other hand, is good for your health.

lol, ok, maybe we should have been more clear
thanks Carrierman for clearing that up

Ok more recipes are needed for this cookbook. If everyone could submit one and have a friend submit one we could possibly have a complete book by years end of 2010. It will be up for sale on blurb.com

Sorry folks there was a temporary set back on this project when the hubby reformated the computer. OOOooops! and the computer went caput. However I have gotten a new computer and have redone the Swingular cookbook with the recipes found in this forum along with a few of my own but it isn't enough to publish yet.
I am hoping you all will forgive the lapse and help me finish this. The catagories are as follows:
Appetizers
Main Dishes
Desserts
Drinks
and Others
Everyone may submit more then one recipe and the title will go like this:
Category - Dish Name - Swingular Handle
I would like to get this project finished as soon as possible with everyones help but if it takes until December 2011 that's ok too. I would like everyone to submit their favorites and be able to enjoy the fruits of our labors when I am done. Pictures are always good but not a must.
Thank you in advance and enjoy!

Thank you in advance and enjoy!
My lady friend and I are headed to a nudist/Lifestyle get together for the weekend, and I just finished making this as our Pot Luck contribution. Trust me - it's a LOT better than it may sound.
CORNBREAD UPSIDEDOWN CAKE
3 Boxes Jiffy Cornbread Muffin Mix
3 Eggs
1 Cup Milk (whole milk preferred)
1 Can Pineapple Rings (approx 6 rings)
1 Small Jar Marachino Cherries
1 Can Mixed Fruit Chunks (or fruit cocktail)
1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar
Pre heat oven to 400 degrees - mix cornbread per package instructions.
Drain all canned fruit.
Spray bottom of 10x14x2 (approx.) baking pan with Pam. Arrange pineapple rings in bottom of pan. Place 1 marachino cherry in center of each pineapple ring, and place several other cherries randomly. Spread mixed fruit chunks randomly over bottom of pan, but not over pineapple. Sprinkle light brown sugar over fruit. Pour in cornbread batter and ensure all fruit is covered. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool (or chill) before serving. Run a knife along edges and place serving platter over pan. Turn upside down and serve. OPTIONAL: serve with a shot of rum to be poured over each slice.

Dang CARRIER you need to make your own cook book. All what you are posting just sounds yummy and I def will be making some of em. Gina
In all honesty, that is something I've given some serious thought to.
Only it would be a recipe book as opposed to a cook book - I'll provide the recipe - learning to cook is YOUR responsibility. lol
I think at last count I have somewhere around 200 recipes.
Roughly 1/2 of those I've developed from scratch - the others are variations of recipes I've found elsewhere and "tweaked" to my liking and to my style of cooking.
You name it, and I've either got a recipe for it, or I can give you one off the top of my head.
And no, I have NO culinary training of any kind.
It's just a passion of mine, and I seem to have a bit of a knack for it.
I'm not a chef - butt more what I like to call a "family cook".
The two biggest problems with writing ANY kind of book are finding a publisher, and then getting good enough distribution/sales to make a buck or two on it.
Writing the book itself is a walk in the park.
When you try one (or several) of the recipes, let me know what you think.

This is very true

I really like some of the recipes you have submitted and look forward to any others you may wish to add but can you do me a little favor and help me get others to submit some too? I have this strange feeling you might be good at it

Don't forget people... I NEED SOME PICTURES TOO PLEASE. The only one we have is for the augmented turkey (ROFL).

Don't know what I can do to prompt/goad/coerce/beg others to contribute.
Maybe YOU should request Admin send out a mass e-mail asking for participation.
No offense, butt if I'm going to do a cookbook myself, I sure don't want ALL my good stuff appearing here before I do. lol
This is to be the Swingular book - NOT the Carrierman book. lol
