First impression of the new site, which is what all other comments by us related to the redesign will be based on.
First lets say that the site has a whole new feel with an all too familiar feeling. As was already hinted at and discussed, there is really not a large shock to the system in figuring out where things are since much of the layout has been seen already. This was something that was nice because it didn't frustrate the change and instead allowed us to be eased into it without spending hours finding things again. (Think of it like moving from office 2003 to 2007, painful because everyone felt like everything moved and they had to find it all again)
Second, while some features are still not working, the amount of information you can provide (or omit if you don't want to provide it) is awesome, and the amount of information you can use for searching is also amazing. This could be overwhelming if it was the only option, but it would appear that the familiar "kinder, gentler, simpler" search is right there at the top to keep that comfy familiarity there and even adding a few simple search functions with a single click.
Third, the picture and photo album functions make things incredibly easy to use and more powerful. The ability to assign permissions, and to even use time restrictions on the permissions looks amazing and should work well for it's purpose. Whether this will address the issue of caching within search and history engines is uncertain, but does look like it could help a great deal.
Fourth, the mailbox also gets an overhaul, and though it's a bit too early to tell, the abilities it has look very promising both with folders for organization, and other functions looks like it makes the current process of managing a mailbox on this site feel clunky and antiquated.

the profile modification and information is far better organized, and you can actually put in your prefereces more tha just "Single Male" Single Female" and "Couples"
