Swingers Forum - Any Baptists out here in Boise area?

line
Previous Post Next Post
We were just wondering if there were any fellow Baptists out here in the Boise/Nampa area? Before someone goes off on how Christians aren't supposed to be in the Lifestyle, ignore that type of response. We get it that most won't be, but we have met folks over the past years when we lived in the Midwest and South, that were very much church going folks that really enjoyed the fun and frolic of the Lifestyle. We certainly enjoyed them and the fullness of our relationships.

We accept that the demographic in this part of the country is heavily LDS and note that this site emanates out of LDS geographic HQ which implies to us that our experiences in the Midwest and South are similar in that many of the predominant Baptists of those regions, like the LDS folks, are enjoying the Lifestyle in spite of other teachings. As a minority local domination, we just wondered if there were any Baptists that might be out here.
Baptists? Is that a sect of LDS? After all, is there any other true faith than LDS? ;)

OMG, I am so going to hell!
I took LDS once, I had a bad trip, if baptist is anything like that I will just stick to booze. I grew out of drugs at 18 anyway. :P

MAV: save 3 seats we are right behind ya (we will save you one if we get there first)
am i the only one that originally read "rapist" instead of baptist? lmao.

s'all good mav. if you're going to hell, i'm ahead of you in line anyways.
If I am going to hell then so is everybody we hang out with and that definitely sounds better than our other options...what a hell of a meet n greet that will be...pun completely intended!! Kisses..Naugh-Ty
has anyone called ahead to let them know such a large group is coming? I know restaurants hate it when a big group shows up without calling ahead.

there...if you don't see us, try looking in the VIP section, right next to the original poster.

Titus 1:16
Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

POW! BLAM! you underestimate the power of the dark side
ABC...I may be wrong because I am not all up on my religions and such but wasn't the idea of the Mormon Church to have more than one wife of your own...not fuck another mans wife? Like I said...could be wrong..but just saying....kisses...Naugh-Ty
Just curious: is there anything different in the sex acts based on which Christian denomination?
Wesee...do you mean like how Mormons believe you're not supposed to do anything but missionary style? Not sure of the truth of it or where it's located or anything...but is this what you're asking? I am curious of this too...kisses...Naugh-Ty
I'm just curious about why people look for swapping pals based on something that doesn't have to do with sex, so far as I know. I wasn't talking about what people say is or is not proper sex-wise according to religion. I understand that most people do whatever comes naturally in bed.

Of course people are free to like whatever they like, I'm not questioning that. We've played with passionate people from at least a couple of faiths, but the label just happened to come up in conversation, not as a prerequisite. Near as I can tell, everyone involved in the life is pretty much the same in this regard.

I'm just making conversation . . .
Wow, we didn't mean to imply that there weren't any Baptists in the area. Sorry. What we were wondering was are there any in the area that are in the Lifestyle on this site?

Still, the posts were interesting and funny as well.

Thanks

scroll to the bottom for the missionary position answer

whatever the subject as long as people are posting their thoughts it is good...right?
at least better than no posts right?

short answer to differences in sects is YES lots.

Christianity (worship the god of Abraham and moses, yaweh+ jesus (son of or part of yaweh)) is a sect of Judeism (worship the god of abraham and moses, yeaweh) and Islam is a sect of Christianity (worship the god of abraham and moses, yaweh(believe jesus was a prophet followed by Mohammed the prophet)) one doesn't need to know much history to know how unalike Islam and baptists are, and they are fundamentally sects of the same religion. with HUGE differences in the original interpretation.

now my long ass answer, poorly formatted with ineffective use of punctuation !!! and run on sentences. because if you are reading my drivel (albeit factual) you are obviously bored and looking to kill some time, therefore I would not be tending to your needs if I made it easy and efficient to read, I didn't even bother to cite sources, um because I am citing memory and you all know how google works, feel free to flame me, I wont take it personally, someone has to have opinions on this, more than a few lines every hour or 2 (the general forum pace)

well... the differences are mostly in interpretations of the bible, most baptists are biblical literalists, and they take scripture to be exactly what is written, whereas most others vary by interpretation thinking of scripture as all parables, allegory, etc. in fact that is what defines and makes different sects, Anglicans can wear condoms and have oral and anal sex, catholics forbid condoms or any kind of birth control. some of the differences in the old Christian religions started with the council of Nicea in 325 AD (ish), that was the meeting where they voted that Jesus was a god, and argued about what gospels to include in the new testament, The council was called by roman emperor Constantine, to make one version of the christ story because there were many contradictory stories floating around, the bickering over jesus being a prophet, a god, or an incarnation of a 3 pronged godhead lead to the formation of the holy roman catholic church, and the orthodox religions, and later infighting in each sprouted different denominations. ( of note the gnostic and docetists were splits pre council of nicea) also of note there are at least 7 more gospels that the councils decided they did not want in the canon (bible),some were destroyed others still exist and are included in other versions of the bible, I am sure if you google non-canonical gospels or texts you will be able to read some. they were mostly excluded because they were in direct contradiction with the version that the holy roman empire was supporting (and the changes being made to make it more palatable to the pagan populous (like the date of the birth of Jesus is agreed by most theologians to be sometime in March, it was moved to december to take the place of the biggest roman pagan holiday, winter solstice and saturnalia and the Germanic yule celebrations, easter was moved as well for the same reasons). there are many translations of the bible and for each one there is a sect and then sub-sects split over interpretations of that particular translation.

a great example of how different the sects have become based on the same source materials, one of the earliest christian sects was Docetism (they were ones that the council didnt like) they beleived that god does not ever take a physical form (based on non-canonical gospels) therefore Jesus was a prophet of god and not a god himself (a notion that did not sit well with emperor constantine) in around 600AD they believed that a new prophet had been born because of 'the prophet jesus being called a god, that violated the idea of a single god and no other gods as clearly stated in the old testament (the holy book of the jews) their new prophet was muhamed and his gospel is the foundation of Islam. and even that has been reinterpreted countless times generating several other sects.

really they all go to war and hate each other over insignificant details, like what color of hat the magic invisible man wears. kant we alls jist git along?

ok the missionary position question...that actually predates mormonism, it come from the early christian missionaries that were converting the savages, they told them that doggy style is the way animals procreate and it was not christ-like and not befitting a christian,
THE actual LDS stance; in the 80's the LDS presidency issued a statement defining oral sex as a sexual perversion and forbidden under the 'law of chastity', but I guess god told the prophet wrong that day, as they quickly reversed their position. the general consensus of the mormon leadership is to leave it to the couple to determine if they are following the law of chastity and their acts are appropriate or not, Under this code, members are taught to be "morally clean in their thoughts, words, and actions" and to abstain from pornography. Violations of this code include "adultery, being without natural affection, lustfulness, infidelity, filthy communications, impurity, inordinate affection, fornication. They included all sexual relations outside marriage
Because I am off to do some inappropriate, impure, lustful and sexually perverted acts to Lucky all I can say right now is NICE...thanks for answering my missionary position question...oh...I think I will act like an animal too...hehehe...kisses...Naugh-Ty
Yahweh, the god of Abraham and Moses, he is just too strict, and way too insecure.

" for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me" -exodus 20:5

that is from the first commandment, my question is if Yahweh is so great, why does he have to resort to threats against ones children, grandchildren and great grandchildren if one does not worship him?
how is it any different than the abusive husband that threatens to beat the kids if the wife doesn't do what he wants? god sounds more like an attention whore, drama queen than an all powerful being.

discuss? anyone?

OBG: sorry for the threadjack, just trying to get a lively conversation going. have you tried a craigslist post? or maybe find a local online forum targeted to baptists, make an anonymous account and post a thread about baptist nudists or something similar, you should be able to identify like minded people that fit your particular desires. even if there are many that are afraid to post openly , they will email you (so make sure you have that option) just an idea.
I have the same curiosity as WESEE; for actual sex, why does it matter? are you looking for someone that understands your background and lifestyle to compare notes on how to reconcile your sexuality in the context of a faith that forbids your desires?
MFF - Discussion:

The issue you raise - a jealous, vengeful "GOD" - is a perfect example of why I've never been able to embrace any organized religion.

Most religious doctrine has always been difficult for me to endorse to start with, due to my science-based leanings. Consequently, the inconsistencies and contradictions WITHIN religions, much less BETWEEN religions leaves little to persuade me that any of them are clearly closer to the TRUTH than the others (fruitloop groups aside).

I think there is a distinct difference between someone who is "religious" and someone who is "spiritual".

Those claiming to be religious, do so endorsing the tenets of their chosen organization. Those who claim nothing beyond spirituality, are endorsing the existence of "something" beyond human understanding and not a lot more. (these are MY distinctions)

The 'rules/beliefs/practices' of organized religion are based, for the most part, on the beliefs and practices of relatively ancient societies. Literal translation from those primitive times to today's world is, in my humble opinion, folly.

Personally, I find it pompous beyond belief that anyone has the balls to think "my religion is better than your religion, nyah, nyah!". What the fuck? Based on what solid evidence?

If one's religion isn't solidly based on a foundation of doing 'good' for others, it isn't worth a pinch of shit, as far as I'm concerned. And by doing good for others, I definitely don't mean proselytizing/recruiting/converting!
in my opinion is that with all the divergence of faith groups, they all worship different gods, they just call him the same name. the nature of yaweh or jesus is completely changed from group to group.
as fewer people buy into the traditional dogma, I see a trend with far left and far right extremest groups to follow their cause with religious fervor, no matter what rational proof presented them, they "just know their cause is true" it seems to me they have replaced the traditional faith with faith in some cause (have you seen a Peta protest or a tea party) I was a member of American Atheists in my 20's and quickly came to the conclusion that it was nothing more than the anti-church church (kinda defeats the point)
I am in favor of bringing back the Greek gods (later stolen by the Romans (because they has shit gods(like ed the god of cookies))) and just not take it so seriously, they had a god for everything, one can just pick a god for whatever you are into at the time, and one would get all the clubs feel and ceremony that everyone seems to want. I am in particular favor of bringing back Eros (sexual love god), Psyche (the beautiful mortal and consort to Eros), and Hedone (child of Eros and Psyche, goddess of sensual pleasures) a follower of these gods worships by having sex, and on special days or for the particularly devoted, group sex or orgies. I know I would not miss a single church service if services consisted of orgies and bible study was lessons on how to have better sex. nightly prayers consisted of giving each other oral sex before bed.

on that note...I should go pray (hmm...woulda made group prayer in high school a more palatable idea (pun intended))
CHRKE2; I mostly concur, in polite in person conversation, I am of the opinion that subjects of money, politics and faith are to be avoided, and rude to broach such subjects unless one of the subjects is the purpose of the conversation. nothing will sour a potential friendship faster than an attempt to convert you to their particular brand of faith or political views or prying into ones financial matters. no one likes high pressure sales pitches doubly so from friends. it is mostly because the topics are emotional in many and they have a hard time debating without becoming angry and resorting to name calling when faced with a differing opinion that is backed up with lots of research and data. a well thought out opinion based in fact does not need a weekly rally to re-enforce it(church)nor does it require that one only socialize with those sharing the opinion lest someone contaminate their faith.
so for in person interaction I abhor those subjects, but online is a different matter, no one is trapped in the conversation as they are in person, and being hated by random people online doesn't have the sting of the old high school friend showing up to win you over to his faith, and when all of their pitch falls apart in the face of facts and logic, the pitch degrading to being called an agent of Satan and marching out the door wishing me a merry "fuck you asshole" it is honestly no better than friends trying to get one involved in whatever new pyramid vitamin thing they are in.

I obviously tend to run at the mouth online from time to time and tend to run-on at the sentences too. (GO ME!!)
