LOL We do pay for it through higher insurance costs, higher out of pocket payments. And higher taxes on medications. What this bill shows is we already cover them so why do we need another bill to cover everyone, they are already COVERED!!!!LOL It also shows the humanity of Ronald Wilson Reagan.

My lovely wifes Grandfather is 94 and up until 2005 he was paying $600. a month on meds, after that it was reduced to $214. LOL now that was a $400. change in expenses that has allowed him to continue his life and to seek treatment for his cancer and literally prolonged his life and improved the quality of his life. Plan B....Has worked for millions of seniors.

the problem as I see it is that there is too much finger pointing for everything that is wrong in this country, we are ALL to blame! This Country is F.U.B.A.R.! Lets quite our bitchin' and use our brains to come together and get it back on track otherwise we most assuredly will arrive at our destination as we continue down this path of self-destruction...or maybe thats where some of you want to see us?

It wont cover Illegals? are you sure about that? If an illegal arrives at a hospital bleeding to death from I dont know a car accident, that hospital is going to let him bleed to death? because he doesnt have an ID?...LOL OK yeah thats going to happen.

So your answer is
(A) Keep it as it is because the use of the ER for routine medical care or waiting until routine medical care becomes something that needs an ER or (
B) Show your U.S. ID and Proof of Insurance (or cash up front)or else "Please take your bleeding someplace else."
Not sure why some kid from China without insurance or a Green Card is any more of a suck the medical mess than any one of the thousands that can't afford health insurance and the thousands more that can afford it but spend the money on other things and end up at the hospital. It all ends up costing us because it's a stupid way to provide health care. Those that do pay make up for those that don't regardless of national origin. I guess maybe for some it feels better paying double for health service if the cause is some American not paying more than some non American.
Maybe if we can at least reduce the number of our own that use the ER as their primary health provider by making it so all are insured and all can get preventive care it will be a start.
Maybe if those that hire the undocumented workers, be it on our corporate run farms or mowing the suburban lawns, got the bill for their "employee" or their family when they show up at the ER we would have less of a problem. As long as we have so many willing to hire because they will work for less and don't expect anything like health insurance or even healthy work environment the uninsured illegals will show up and you end up with choice A or B.

On this you are correct, and prior to WWII we did not have the tanks, ships, or planes we needed to fight a war and yet look how that came out. The excuse we can't do it because we don't have the doctors is demeaning to the nation and not only admits our health care in America is below that of many other countries but also says we don't have the ability to change. Supply and demand is a wonderful thing at times and the "Field of Dreams" idea if "If you build it they will come" tends to ring true here. We have enough McDonald's feed the nation burgers and fries; enough Starbucks to Mocha Late every man, woman, and child from Seattle to Key West; and enough lawyers to sue all the McDonald's and Starbucks feeding us all that fat. My guess is our nation is strong enough to invest in our own people and we will see the supply of general practice doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners match the demand.
