We just spent the weekend (Friday through Monday) at the Sea Mountain Resort in Desert Hot Springs and wanted to share our experience since we couldn't find any reviews to read before we went. We will start by saying we had a wonderful time and met some really great people.

The spa is basically a 15 hotel room establishment located around a pool, small dance floor, hot tub and garden area. From the outside it looks like a compound in the middle of a neighborhood. Once you enter the locked front gate, you quickly forget that you are in neighborhood and you are promptly greeted with naked bodies everywhere. They state on their site that they are clothing optional but don't let that fool you. The only time you are actually allowed to wear clothes is in your room, going to and from the establishment and during special themed parties. More than once, we saw a hostess (all of which are women) hand partially clothed guests a second towel and inform them that they had to remove their clothes. It was all done in a nice and fun spirited way of course.

Food, snacks, beer, some hard liquor and wine were included and provided 24/7. You can order dinner off of a take out menu and contrary to what we were told, our food arrived hot...and it was pretty good. You can take your own food in if you like and you are encouraged to bring in as much of your own alcohol as you like. On a side note, we ran out of sunblock and they even provided us with a brand new bottle free of charge so we didn't have to leave.

Music plays around the clock and the party seems to never end. People are drinking and having sex at all hours and with all party goers. We never felt pressured to do anything we didn't want to and the couples or single ladies only policy there helped with the unwanted spectators (sorry to you single men.....we love having you around but it's those few bad eggs that have given you a bad name and an un-invite to this location. If you want to take a date, then you are free to join.) The host is a great guy and he is constantly encouraging people to have a good time, drink and have sex. At one point, there were six men getting head around the pool and nobody thought anything of it. I guess this is a good time to note that they really do a good job at keeping the place clean, including a good scrub down on the pool which we witnessed first hand. There were all sorts of people there from all walks of life and from all over the world; it was great. We were so comfortable there that we hardly shut our door, even when we were playing around in our room. When we decided to sleep, we shut our door (which kept out the sound quite well) and slept on a very comfy bed.

It's good to note that if you don't want to pay the price to stay there you can stay the night at a surrounding hotel and get a day/night pass to play at the resort. It was expensive to stay there but it was so convenient and so nice to never have to put on clothes we decided that it was worth every penny. We are actually making our plans to go back already.

Well, we hope this helps those that are trying to decide whether or not to visit. If you do, you will enjoy it! Feel free to shoot any questions our way.

Our experience exactly! It is a very well run facility... and fun... and close!
We are planning a trip for Thanksgiving weekend. We were thinking of going back there but are concerned about the weather, is it warm enough to lay around naked all day as we did this past weekend?

We are also looking at Temptations in Cancun, or Hedonism in Jamaica. Any recommendations? It's less than $500 difference in any of the three destinations. The difference being how long you spend on a plane.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please share. We want someplace we can stay naked the whole time, at least outside, and get as crazy as we want without anyone bothering us.

Ya know, the review sounds great. Up until the point where hostesses are telling guests they need to get naked. WTF? That ain't right. I never experienced that in Desire. Who would a US based Lifestyle resort try something like that?
MAVENX: Before going to the club, you are told that clothing is not optional. That is something that they are very open about. That's why people are there to begin with. It also makes those who are there to be nude (which should be everyone) feel safe and comfortable. If you want to go to a clothing optional resort, then all you have to do is simply avoid total nude locations like this one.
Personally, having everybody nude made me feel more comfortable being nude. I didn't feel like I was being judged by others who may have been wearing clothes otherwise.

If you want fully nude do not go to temptations. Go to Desire that is right down the road. It's fully nude. Temp is only topless. Both are nice places but we prefer to be nude and go to desire.
