Wondering how other men deal with hair loss. I used to have a full head of thick black hair and over the years it has managed to get noticeable thinner. Finally decided to shave it all off and wonder if women like bald men or not.
Thats why the Mr. doesn't cut his beautiful long hair, I wont let him and took him too long to grow it..lol

You mean, by me shaving and trimming, I am actually going against nature? DAMN!

hairloss is caused from dihydrotestosterone(dht) locking into the hair folicule receptor site and sending a signal to shut down, the drug proscar/finastride will occupy the receptor site on the hair folicule so the dht hormone cant lock in.

I figure since women are usualy the ones to decide who's genetics get passed on and male pattern baldness is quite prevailent in the gene pool, there has to be an awfull lot of women reproducing with bald men... so with that in mind I didn't mind buzzing what was left when the forehead popped out the back. Like so many here, I have a very high sex drive so one day I just had to ask my father if it was genetic. His reply was,"there's a reason I'm so bald, you know what causes baldeness right?" So don't sweat it, go gracfully, and get a trimmer and buy the last haircut you'll ever have to pay for.
PS. and I in my youth(circa 1980) had beautiful auburn locks down past the middle of my back

Growing up I realized I would eventualy have the same hair line as my father did. We worked in a family business together until he retired and I constantly saw women flirt with him. I figured it must get better with the ladies as you lose more hair and it never bothered me losing it. As I got older, I too got more attention from the ladies as my hair was vanishing.
My two older brothers were the kind that got all bent out of shape by losing their hair. Neither ever drew attention from the ladies with the receding hair lines. My only guess is that your attitude is the most important thing. If it does not bother you and you still feel sexy and attractive, that confidence will turn the ladies on. Obviously some ladies just are not attracted to a bald guy and that is their right to feel that way. Overall, being comfortable and confident in your appearance will attract more ladies then secretly feeling ashamed and trying to cover it up.

well they say the more hair you lose the more head you get!? LOL
i spend less money on shampoo. more on razors less on a hair cuts but then again they say the loss of hair might be from high levels of testosteron so if that helps I'll go with that

I love bald men,, hell I love em all,, just ask the mr. hehehee
usually the body converts about 10% of its testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, unfortunatley some people will convert more than 10% to dht, the thing that really determines hairloss though is the affinity the hair folicule has for the dht.
I loss my hair some years back. The wife didn't like it bicked but now doesn't want me to go without bicking. So everything matches the drapes and the curtains..lol
god only made so many great heads the rest he covered with hair lmao
Its not wiether theres hair or not, but how a man carries himself. However there is nothing quite like a bald man that is more than comfortable in his own skin.....ummm yummy -Vic @~<~~
I grew up during one of those decades where you couldnt tell from the back wheither it was a girl or a boy. I loved my long thick locks of hair. Well, anyone who doesnt think the heavens have a sense of humor are either blind or dumb. As you begin to age, most of us start loosing hair where it belongs and grow it in places it never should be. As my hair thinned out, my wife finally got tired of my whining about it and got me to shave it off. WOW, I feel like a budda now, only instead of getting my belly rubbed, its my head. I frankly love the attention and enjoy the ease of maintenance it offers. Then there is that old saying, "you can please all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you cant please all of the people all of the time." If you are pleased with yourself and how it looks.. the rest will follow.
people ask me all the time why i shaved mine off, then i said when the two peaks touched it was time. now i say because women picture it between their legs and get all excited
Haven't seen a comment from anyone not-yet experiencing the ol' male pattern baldness thing - so thought I might as well chip a penny's worth in.
I have a bit of receding at the temples, but otherwise have a still-full head of thick curly hair (will be 59 in Dec.).
About 3 years ago I finally exited the work world to the extent that my hair length didn't matter. Still a hippie-type at heart, I immediately started letting it grow. I have no idea how it is perceived by the women, or anyone for that matter. I'm just grateful to have it. And, with Wisconsin not having a helmet law, I'm able to enjoy the wind in my hair as I tool on down the road on my scoot.
