What is your favorite music, band or song? Why?

my current favorite song is "this afternoon" by Nickleback dont know why its just a happy go lucky song i guess!!!
You never met a motherfucker like me---Kid Rock----It just the mood I'm in
All Summer Long by Kid Rock because it reminds me of how and where I grew up.
I agree with the choice of Kid Rock - both "Picture" and "All Summer Long" are absolutely brilliant.
Love em both.
But throughout my life, there have been more songs that tripped my trigger than I can count or remember - so let's talk albums.
Simon & Garfunkle's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" has got to be the greatest pop album ever produced.
Followed closely by Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors".
Sorry - never really got into the Beatles.
On the country side, as much as I love everything Willie Nelson has ever done, I have to go with Highway 101's self titled "Highway 101".
Oh, and BTW:
If any of you have never seen the "Eddie & The Cruisers" movies (#1 & #2) you are missing a GREAT musical experience.
One man's opinion.
Love em both.

I like everything from Robert Johnson, to Slayer.
Lately I've been listening to some Iggy and the Stooges, early Alice Cooper, Warren Zevon, lot of Kinks, Otis Redding, Kings of Leon, and suprisingly, several cds worth of Classic Disney songs.
Clssic Iggy
Warren Zevon (need I say more)
I'd add more but I'd be here all night, lol.

come on, where are the 80's children? Ministry, Dead or Alive, InXS, China Crisis, or Thompson Twins? What about OMD? Mode? Idol? Lauper? or original Madonna? Remember the rubber bracelets (gaskets)?

I like Ministry, and Depeche...80's has some great stuff.....Cure, Jane's Addiction, Metallica and about 1000 more.
Put your iPod/iTunes/MP3 of choice on shuffle and name the first 5 songs. It's fun
classic rock
There are soooo many to list and it soooo depends on my mood and what I am doing!!!! Obviously I love all the club stuff right now so I can dance, oh hell anything I can dance to....love Daughtry, Kid Rock, Linkin Park, NIN, Seether, Metallica, Madonna, Eminem (yes I like that bad ass little white boy and not afraid to admit it!), Theory of a Dead Man, INXS, throw in some Bob Marley and some happy reggae, a little country sometimes...Carrie Underwood, Trace Atkins (OMG!!!!), Tim McGraw (yummy), Toby Keith....wow....ok my music choices are as multiple personalities as I am....hahaha....lol ....Kisses .... Music soothes the soul!!!!

Ditto with NAUGHTYGIRL depends on my mood as well!! I like all of the albums you guys posted. There is one song though that like lately, I like Brittney spears- womanizer. I like the beat and rythmn even though it has Madonna's kind of style. Oh and one haven't mentioned, Bloodhound Gang! I looooovvvve their songs!!

We like all kinds of music from country to rock, and Everything in between!
Whatever sounds good

A group I love, but seldom see mentioned in this type of survey - Supertramp

I'm with MAVENX on this one....where are all the "new wave" and synthpop children of the 80's?
HMMMM well right now my favorite song would be "Sound of Madness" by Shinedown. The entire album is excellent.
If I were King for just one day.....

Without a doubt, the one album I would want if I were stranded on an island..."Waiting for Columbus"...Little Feat.
Thanks for the shoutout for Supertramp too. Always were wayyy underrated. Out of the '80' s also came the wayyy too underrated talent of Cindi Lauper. She really got lost in the shuffle back then. Woulda been a monster if she was not out in the same era as Madonna...Absolute killer talent.
Too many different types and styles to really really narrow down to anything I could label "favorite".
