Very interesting video. He was most provocative in presentation and issue selection. I don't happen to agree with ALL of the solutions though. Made me feel like the independent I like to think I am.
I guess the two questions that come to my mind:
1) Have we become too fractured as a society to mount anything resembling a unified display, even if agreement could be reached on anything? It seems we have become nothing more than a nation of special interests groups, each with its own agenda (fallout from the 'Me Generation' syndrome?). I found the genuine political interest and excitement generated during the recent presidential election encouraging, but ...
2) Have we reached a point where complacency has become irreversible? We are fast becoming a society that requires little "real" society. If we have our TV's and computer monitors, we are socially content. Virtual is good enough. In the 60's, images of the Viet Nam war were televised during the supper hour on the evening news (by a whopping 3 networks!). In my opinion, that played a huge role in ACTIVISM and shaping our future. Today, we have become so jaded by 24/7 live news cycles and analysis ad nausea, by just about every form of violent entertainment imaginable, by cell phones aiding computers to ensure minimal human interface, that we are inured to most.
Fault-finding is always the easy side of the equation. Well-thought-out and acted-upon solutions by qualified and dedicated individuals is quite the different story.

Actually I worked from midnight last night and finished up about two hours ago. I really dont have to wait very long for you to say something stupid. Inhanced interrogations will end up like your Iraq war arguement, nothing will come from it. Polousy and the rest of congress were well aware of all that was going on and they did nothing even after they took congress in 2006. Dont worry though your boy obama will not fail, he will succeed. The emphasis seems to be on "were used," even though she conceded in a statement released Friday that she was told they would be used.
"As I said in my statement of December 9, 2007: 'I was briefed on interrogation techniques the (Bush) administration was considering using in the future. The administration advised that legal counsel for both the CIA and the Department of Justice had concluded that the techniques were legal,'" she said.
But even that statement is at odds with the official record of the briefings recorded in the CIA memo dated to Sept. 4, 2002. That memo says Pelosi received a "briefing on EITs (enhanced interrogation techniques), including use of EITs on Abu Zubaydah, background on authorities and a description of particular EITs that had been employed."
