Excellent question CHRKE...I have found that most of the "real" people in swinging (ourselves included), are merely hiding in some proverbial closet, waiting to be called forth...you know, like in a forum thread.
Of course, we all know that any "unreal" people would never have the sheer audacity to respond to one of these threads that ask for the "real" people...right?

well besides the fact that i have just replaced the hydrolic fluid in my arms.....changed the joints in my knees and am recharging my batteries.....we would like to think of ourselves as real....when cut we still do bleed.....it might be blue and orange......but hey

I'm pretty sure I'm real since when people converse with me the rest of the room seems to think the conversation is 2 sided and logical rather than looking at the person like they're crazy for talking to themselves.

Everyday we have 2 be confronted by potential 2 faces. REAL AND UNREAL? Guess realness is in the eyes of the beholder. We step into the world with one face, the only one god gave us. Dont see any sense in wearing another. Guess a topic like this should be submitted and tossed around more, so maybe it wood allow everybody (and ourselves) 2 do daily checks in the mirror so we dont drift apart from who we truely are....SOUNDS A BIT SILLY BUT ITS TRUE.

I thought I was real until I looked in a mirror and realised I was but a refection of my former self a mere nanosecond before and all illussions were shattered... or was it the mirror? hmmm

Being REAL is being who you say you are - plain and simple. If you pose as a couple then both of you (if there are two of you) should know what the heck is going on. We get a kick out of "couples" whose pictures show her by herself - but the guys photos are taken as he poses in front of a mirror to get a photo of himself. Or - you never see a photo of the two of them together. Or - the wife doesn't have a clue her photos are even posted - or the photos are of an ex-girlfriend. The list goes on and on.
If you are in the lifestyle - then your ad should reflect exactly who you are without all the bullshit. Times too short to waste on people who have an ad that is so full of crap that all you are doing is wasting your time and feeding their egos. We've all run into the fakes, liars, photo collectors and just out-and out cheats!
So to be real is to be who you say you are.

Are we talking about "real" in the sense that someone exists upon the physical plane, or "real" in the sense that a couple is genuine, honest and full of integrity.
As RIDERZ said...the REAL seal verifies someones existence...so what's the issue?
As for the character aspect of being "real", I'm not totally clear on what exactly many who have contributed are claiming to be "unreal". In a sense, the comments often left by members on profiles can attest to a couples'/individual's character and attributes.
