Swingers Forum - Friend Requests Updated

Previous Post Next Post
The Friend Request feature on the new, upcoming redesigned site works a little differently then the current one. We have received several emails from members who say they are making friend requests but they are not getting through. So we decided to update this feature to the one we are using for the new site redesign.

Instead of getting emails with a friend request where you can approve or deny them, you now have a whole page that lists all your friend requests. You can see how many you have pending as well as access the pending friend request page from the Home page. It's on the left hand side under Status Updates.

This should help fix the issues that some of you were having. If you encounter any bugs, please let us know.

Thanks.

BTW, the profile views and traveling info under Status Updates do not work with the current site. They are features of the new site redesign and will become available when we launch.
do not see a status update link on the home page
Look on the left side of HOME page. Should appear a lot like this...
Thanks, had to clear browser cookies and history and signed back in it now is showing the home page
So due we need to resend pending friend requests?
Just wanted to add our thanks, too; works great!
So due we need to resend pending friend requests?

No, not if they are still pending. If they are no longer pending, then yes.
I like the new Friends Request area...just a thought tho....Could you add the ability to simply delete a friend request?

Since the new area was provided it has added back all of the friends requests we've ever had. Some we have already declined, some we have already accepted. While these are not a problem (we can simply accept or decline them again) there are some we don't really want to do either with but would like to delete from the list.
If you deny a friend, it deletes them from the list. Denying someone does not mean they will receive an email informing them that they have been denied.
