We are considering becoming involved in the lifestyle, but we are not sure how to get started. We wanted to know how others got started. Did you meet another couple or did you go to a party first? We are planning a little vacation in Las Vegas next month and may look to try the whole "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" thing. Would anyone have any ideas as how we should approach another couple for our first time? What was your first time with another couple like?

But all you really need to do is go to a club (or two until you find one you like) and meet people. Let people know up front that you are new and curious. You will find that there are lot's of people who will be willing to help you out as a new couple and get you pointed in the right direction.

A decent place to talk about the lifestyle and get your questions answered is in the chatroom on this site. Granted not everyone likes a chatroom setting, but it does make a nice safe place to meet people and ask questions.
Thanks for the insights and suggestions. We will try some of these methods to try and get to know some new friends, but we are also interested to find out what you did when you got started. We are both greatly turned on by the fantasy of having sex with another couple. We also understand that reality rarely lives up to the fantasy. We both are very happy and secure in our marriage and neither of us want to chance screwing up a good thing. Does anyone have any regrets about getting involved with swinging?
well getting into lifestyle is easy making friends in the lifestyle that where you might find an issue especially with no pictures and not being validated. good luck though
WE_WANT_IT_ALL - Id say research what your getting into as much as you possibly can, such as this forum and others around the internet. Before you actually do it! There's so much more to swinging than just sleeping with another couple.

we dicussed it as a couple, and found several websites dedicated to it. Then we joined two, Swingular and SLS. We met one couple, who talked to us about a local group. They joined it but didn't like it. We joined and thought it was great. Since then, thats what I tell folks is to join a website, find a local group and go meet and mix. The online things worked, but not as well as meeting in person, getting to know a couple, etc. Since that we've coem full circle and started our own group.

We talked a little about it in 2004. We went to Swingstock Campout in Minn. in July and had a great time. We made a lot of new frineds. We have gone back every year since 04. We also joined all 4 of the local groups. And made a lot of new friends locally. We attend 1 to 2 parties a month. We also meet singles and couples online. Of course my wife gets a lot of hits from single guys. She is very selective and has fun. We both have had a lot of fun and even at our age are planning to keep on having fun. PARTY ON!
