You've been here a month and feel that ppl should drop you a line, based on what your profile tells us about you and your wants with out even a simple smiling photo(It would help ).

Looks do matter. We have met folks who didn't post a picture, but sent a picture upon request. It doesn't need to be nude! Like another who replied, just a smiling face. If you want responses, update your profile to sound more fun. You want people to visit you, but what do you have to offer? Maybe the website venue is not working for you. Try some clubs or campgrounds. Then you may meet folks and be invited to house parties.

We have to agree with the concensus thus far, it would be nice if you were able to include jus one pic of some type. Don't have a digital camera? Don't have a scanner? Go to a local Kinko's or Staples and ask them to put it into a digital file for you.
You say that you are not Ken and Barbie. That's a good thing because they are no fun to be with. But when folks read your profile and all the rhetoric about what you're not and there is no picture, people will have a tendency to wonder what is wrong here. Add to that the fact that you want them to come to you? Are you giving them some reason why?
Things can work for you if you put a little effort into it and give the impression that you are real and serious about this.
