The old friends list has been separated into two new lists: a favorites list & a friends list. The favorites list is like a bookmarking list. All of your old friends are now in your favorites list.
The friends list is now a 'two way' request list. You have to request to be someone's friend now and they have to approve you as a friend. Once this happens, you will both have access to each others private albums. Because of this new 'two way' request, you will have to request friendship with your old friends again. We know this is inconvenient but is necessary, otherwise, anyone who, prior to the changes, added you as their friend would gain access to your private albums whether or not you added them as a friend. We wouldn't want that to happen.
You can view all of the people on your favorites list by going to SEARCH/BROWSE -> FRIENDS LIST.
You can manage your favorites by going to MAILBOX -> MANAGE FAVORITES.

If you go to MAILBOX -> MANAGE FAVORITES, you can select all the members you want to send a request to, then click the FRIEND REQUEST button at the bottom. It will then send all of those that are checked a request.

I don't have time to go through and readd all my friends. Can you add a function that allows me to check the favorites (all the old friends) and then send request to the favorites I have checked?

Ok, we cant see our private pics now, nor can those we have approved as friends. Any suggestions.....

none of our friends on the new list can see our private pics, ill send you a request so you can see whats going on, we have 51 private pics, but friends and us cant see them from the profile page.
Ok, we may have figured it out, i deleted our personal folder, and resent a friends request to ourselves. we will have to wait and see if the frineds can see us.

hmmmm...K im either an idiot (which i have been called b4) orthere is something "jacked" about the new system...i just added a friend request to myself, so i can check out my own pics

We were in the middle of changing a few things about 10 minutes ago so you may have caught us during that time. Try approving your request again.

We changed our account to a normal account and tried accessing your private album after approving your friend request and we can see your private album just fine. Try going to our profile and we have a private video album. You should be able to click it because you are on our friends list.

Don't forget, you can add all your friends in ONE CLICK by going to SEARCH -> Manage Favorites. Then clicking the Check All checkbox will select all your old friends. Click the Request Friend button and it well send a request to all your old friends!
one thing that would be nice is if they accept your friend request they not oly get added to your friends list but get moved off the Favorites list.

It's a way of moving older threads back up to the top of the front page...usually done by re-editing your contribution and saving it....
