Does anyone have their own personal website as well as a profile here? I created a website that is password protected for all my girlfriends and I. Has anyone else done this or is doing this as well.
We just have our myspace accounts. *shrugs*

Nothing, just wanted to know if others have a personal webpage as well. Besides a myspace, somewhere where you can post anything and everything without reguards to rules and things. I have my own server and my hubby builds and hosts websites as a side job.
We have our own domain and both a secure and non secure site. We just had an open site - all "PG" stuff however we had a cute gag page with "Lost and Found" items after a party ranging from nipple clips and a red thong to a guy floating in the pool with a noodle between his legs. Everything on the site was somewhat vague and noting about swinging - just plans for parties that we offered our friends a place to "sleep" so they did not have to drink & drive. Well the site came to the attention of my boss and my job is very public - he was cool and just wanted me to know "I was the talk of the company . . . " After that I made a secure side of the site and did my best to keep anything other than the public pages off of any search engine.
All that being said I have been sooooo backed up with other things both the public (covering out travels in Asia and the United States) and private side are mostly just shells. I redesigned it to be ready for content but has yet to get into editing the pages beyond the shell. We make use of the domain email so we can change service providers and move keeping our addresses plus we can create an address for special needs and not deal with some third party. I also use it to place pictures I link in some postings. When I had the page running with content it was always fun to look at where the hits came from - it is amazing how traffic can come from all over the world with no promotion of the page.
