It was only upgrades to the hardware, not the new site. The hardware needed to be in place for preparation of upgrading to the new site.
ok, cool deal, can't wait to see the new layout. What servers did you go with?
Let's just say we went with 4 quad core intel processors! The rest is top secret. 
I have no idea what computer lingo you are using but the site is so much faster for us then before. Maybe that is what you were saying in computer terms but we love the new speed.
if everyone will now get naked as fast as this site moves we will really be impressed (ok we are already impressed with the site speed)

Uh yeah, I think data redundancy and back-ups are common options among most quality hosts. As far as speed and performance, it could be any number of configurations. You can usually always move up in speed and performance.
