In Alaska everyone gets an equal share. It's as if the citizens are the stock holders,as most are native Americans. No different than the indians getting gambling on the reservation lands.

Alaskans DO NOT get from government. It comes from the large profit making oil companies you so love to bash. It was an agreement reached between government( THE PEOPLE) and the oil companies to pay dividends( PROFIT SHARING) to the citizens of Alaska. Tell which part of this you don't understand and I will get some one to translate it to spanish for you. It is not tax dollars being redistributed.

He shouldn't hide, what he said about the Natives is perfectly true. Besides I dig Highway. I don't agree with him much of the time, but I respect him. Though I would like to add that the Native government does dole out the checks. It <u>is</u> socialism. The bit about Natives being on "welfare" isn't true. I grew up in a middle class home and we still got food and cash from the U.S. before the casinos and Timber sales checks from the tribe. The U.S. government wasn't paying for the wellfare of the tribes low income individuals. It was paying them back for the broken treaties. It's call restitution. That's what happens when you commit genocide on and steal from someone, make a contract (treaty) with them and then default on the contract. <b>YOU PAY!</b> That's called justice!

Oh and on the tax front Uluv it seems to me you do not pay state income tax either. A lot of states do not have an income tax. Oh and by the way Oregon has no sales tax. It also seems to me that Florida has suspended the sales tax a time or two. Why not talk about that.
