During the recent "Joe the Plumber" debate, Obama stated that if you make less than $250,000 you will not see new taxes and will receive a tax break. A few days later at a rally Biden said that if you make less than $150,000 you will not see new taxes and will receive a tax break. During the Obama infomercial the other night he said that if you make less than $200,000 you will not see new taxes and will receive a tax break.
My question is this....
On November 5th, after he wins (unfortunately) what is it going to be? $100,000

It was already addressed. Biden already said that he made a mistake. It's 250K.

Ok, I can accept a mistake, but why in the infomercial did Obama say $200,000?
I didn't hear that one. Perhaps you can post it.

It will be more like $75,000 if he gets elected as he has been lying about many things.
To me it isn't the cuts or the raises, it's that fucking obama wants to give tax credits. Which means the piece of shit assholes living on welfare, because they are too lazy to work will get money from the IRS and will have never paid a dime in income tax. Now if they want to cut taxes and eliminate bullshit spending, then I am all for it.

Your right I can't show proof because Obama will not release many documents that would prove he is lying.
He will deliver far more than McCain and if you don't believe that, you are as dumb as you look.

sandy - The Wall Street Journal - that bastion of political impartiality? You offer an article from their OP-ED (you do realize that stands for OPINION/EDITORIAL, don't you) page as PROOF? The author's credentials:
Mr. Ferrara is director of entitlement and budget policy for the Institute for Policy Innovation. He served in President Reagan's White House Office of Policy Development, and as associate deputy attorney general under the President George H.W. Bush.
This is your offer of PROOF?

SANDYCOUPLE,
That's just another person making a claim. I want to see in Obama's proposal that it says this. Show us a link to the data itself.

Did you not watch your candidates infomercial? He clearly said $200,000, it was even in text in the bottom of the picture.
I will try and find the clip later on.

TR up to this point I have been civil but your comment of "your as dumb as you look" makes me come back and say I may look dumb but come Nov4th you will realize that "dumb" is too nice of a word for you because when Barry boy loses you are going to look like a TOTAL FOOL! You have been backing a socialist,Communist thinker and hell even AlQaeda has recently come out to say they are looking forward to seeing Bush and the GOP outed. All we can say is Thanks lol. That statement just made even more American's believe your "BOY" is backed by terrorist! I will post a list of all the Documents he has failed to produce when I get time. The bottom line is Barry boy says whatever he needs to to try to sway the liberal fools are actually thinking about backing him. TR your not as dumb as you look your dumber and come Nov 5th when it's done and over all you will be able to do is crawl into your hole and hide.
OK, we already cast our votes for Obama but I did hear a commercial today on the radio and he personally said 200K. Why would I down the guy we just voted for unless it is true.
Also, as sorry as it is to say, we do not expect any politician to hold true to their promises. We should be able to hold them to their promises since we are the ones to give them the job in the first place. Just another thing wrong with our government.

It just amazes me how the majority of you cannot stay on subject.
If you want to start an argument with someone, because you are reading too much into something, then start a "White people are afraid to say NIGGER and use code words instead" thread.
If I were to read too much into it, when Obama supporters say that McCain is Old, and Palin is a soccer mom, I may think they are using code words to call them CRACKERS. Yup, that's about as ridiculous as you sound.
You are obviously an Obama supporter, so tell me, what will be your thoughts when the "Rich" level determined by Obama will be below what your family makes in a year?

How is "Hussein" a code word for nigger? its his given middle name?

Surf,
It is no longer $250,000 it is $200,000. Keep up with current events (See the videos on page 2 of this thread)
And who cares how much SANDYCOUPLE makes, or I for that matter, perhaps we aspire to surpass what Obama thinks is "rich" this week, next week, months, or years from now for that matter (if we haven't already). Who knows what Obama's definition of "rich" will be after December 15th (if he wins).
On a side note Obama keeps saying 95% of Americans will get a tax cut. He also has stated that 95% of Americans make under $250,000 and then two weeks later it was $200,000.
Well according to the chart in this article http://www.kiplinger.com/features/archives/2007/11/taxrank.html that was published in November of 2007 when Obama was not the Democratic Nominee yet (The source of which is the IRS), and several other articles that I have seen. In 2006, the top 95% of Americans made less than $153,542 a year.
So what is it the number? $250,000, $200,000, or $153,542 a year?

Isn't $153,542 under 250k???
Don't you dumb ass democrats know how to read. I said the ones too lazy to work. I did not say all of them. Try to comprehend what you read before making judgement on someone you don't know.
Isn't $153,542 under 250k???
TR you are so right $153,542 is less than $250,000. Now using your logic wouldn't it be more than 95% recieving a tax cut then? Or is there no one that makes between those numbers?
Either way he has lied.
Uluv: You seem to be the only one making a race issue. You say boy = nigger, so I guess good ol boy =good nigger. Your words not mine.

Meaning that if you make OVER $153,542 you will pay more taxes under Obama. The question is what he considers rich and where he puts the level of higher tax brackets. The IRS says the top 5% make OVER $153,542 so is it the top 5% or $250,00. Is this gross or net? Is he calculating gross income of those filing S-Corp status? These are just questions that are a little unclear. The other part his that he only wants to raise taxes on the top X% to be fair not to raise revenue.
He didn't lie. Just because he didn't get his percentages right, when comparing incomes with his tax plan, doesn't mean that 250 K won't be the line. The only "proof" you have are assertions made by columnists. SHOW US SOME FACTS! Let's see the plan that lays it out. Let's see a proposal by Obama that says 150,000. All I hear is speculation and fearmongering.

Sorry the propaganda and fearmongering doesn't jive with what he's showing. Just because you repeated post something he's already admitted were mistakes, doesn't make them true.
I love the scrutiny that you guys are putting on Obama, yet I see none of you scrutinizing McCain's plans. Only some people will recieve vouchers for education, his helathcare vouchers being the biggest joke of all and his total lack of ability (admittedly) of the economy. All we know about McCain is that he's pathetic at smear campaigns and the polls prove it. HAHAHA!! McCain's biggest attribute is he can talk shit about the other guy and he's even failed at that. What're his answers? Come now people. Neither candidate is perfect... Obama is just closer than McCain... By far.

His site still doesn't answer my questions about S-Corps and the gross vs net issue. Nor does it explain why he wants to raise taxes only to be fair, knowing it will not create revenue but just the opposite. Nor does it explain where the money will come from to pay for all the credits he plans to give to people including the refundable ones he wants to give to those who do not even pay taxes.
ETA-has anyone read the link to the refundable tax credits???
