What scares me are not the people that are voting for Obama because they agree with him. What scares me are the people that are voting against McCain. What scares me are the people who are voting for Obama because he is black, not because of his views and values. Vote for who you truly believe can get the job done not against the guy you don't like. I think this election is about race for many people. It's not the color of the person running - to quote someone from a past election, "It's the economy - stupid!" Redistribution of wealth was never a problem when we gave tax breaks at the top of the chain. Big Oil, the sugar growers, and every other mega company getting bucks from Washington was good business but supporting those of us under the $200,000 a year level is somehow socialism? Bring on November - It won't be some magic fix and it is bound to get worse before it gets better - but at least there is hope. To those that say about the tax rebate "it's about time I got something back from my taxes" -- look around you, your getting paid back every day. The roads you drive, the inspection of the food you eat, the education you may or may not have taken advantage of in your life, the freedom protected by the military that get paid from your taxes. Read the constitution as it was written not the fucked up amendments that were added in in the late 1800's and 1900's. (referring to amendments that refer to taxes only, not equal rights and such.) In none of my posts have I referred to any race as being welfare recipients or the cause of welfare. I am not holding anyone responsible for anything. I am saying that the U.S. government, not anyone person living today, owes the natives because of the atrocities it committed.
