I disagree. It is 100% our job to critique our leaders and "badmouth" them if they are doing poorly or fucking the American people (Bush). When we put our heads in the sand, government controls us. It is your duty to speak out and protest things that you do not agree with. That applies to all sides. I will speak out and badmouth any party that supports unregulated capitalism, religious influence in government or public, disregard for our environment and many other insults and assaults on what it is to be an American and live in this supposed secular culturally diverse American Society.

TR - need clarification - who are you disagreeing with? If anything I wrote was interpreted to mean I am not in favor of being critical of our leaders, we have a misinterpretation.
I am absolutely in favor criticism, protest and civil disobedience. I am simply weary of what mudslinging has become. There is no way for either side to come out of this election not looking like crap to the other side.
I was specifically targeting the apathy flavor I detected. Apathy due to the fact that we have two politicians (dirty word to start with), who have done a more than adequate job of slinging their own mud. That mud has been reprocessed, ad nauseum, to the point of who-the-fuck-knows what is factual.
All I'm saying is, protest away, but remember that fences are much harder to build than tear down.

Have you ever been in the military? Ask yourself this question out of the 2 canidates which one would QUALIFY for a "Top Secret" security clearance? I can't believe that with all the past radical associations that Obama has had that he would even qualify for the lowest security clearance. Anyone who has ever had a background investigation for security clearance knows that your friends, and associates are always questioned. Obama would not qualify for a clearance yet we are ready to let him have his finger on the NUKE button?
