When you take politics out of our schools, funding will increase, but money is not the problem, it is the teachers and their protectionist society. Those who thought they would get rich by teaching were wrong and maybe they should find a new line of work.

No, it's not paying the teachers what a Master's should pay them. You spend 50-80K on a Master's you should be making more than 32K per year. It has everything to do with money. It's the fuckin Capitalist pigs that want to control the world's economy and horde Trillions while the society crumbles and the majority go without. Bush the retard and is under-funded "No Child Left Behind Act" is a perfect example of how the GOP handles education. Now we have McCain with a voucher program that would work if it was funded correctly, but as of now only some will have the opportunity. Fuck that.

Well damn how much should a teacher make?????????????? Let's see they work 181 days a year, while the rest work 250 days. They get every summer off or they get paid more for summer school. They get every holiday in the country off with pay. I don't know what the rest of you get but I get 6 paid holidays. Every person that goes to school to be a teacher knows what the pay is. Now let's look at it this way, how much should a cop make or are you going to call a teacher when you are getting mugged? You cannot teach those that do not want to learn....... And of course there is the old spin I'll just say it's republicans going to haliburton. Well I was there actually they were on their way to get their check from acorn(endorsed by obama himself to make sure they vote for him. How's that for a spin?
Highway, not every teacher takes the summer off. That's what I am saying. There are lots of districts like some here in Utah that go all year round. There are plenty of teachers that work all year around.

Teachers do not make enough, in my opinion to motivate people to go through that much school to maintain a teaching license. Teachers go through as much school as a lawyer, nurse, chemist, etc. Those other positions pay better. Money does make the world go around. If you think that has nothing to do with and people should do it because it's noble, go teach. Go put up with todays undiscplined youth, after having obtained a masters and the debt that goes with it. Wow 40K-50K per year is so worth it. They need to be make about 70-100K. Incentive and proper compensation. It sure beats spending the money rebuilding and protecting a country in the desert for 240 Billion a year.
