On the afternoon of Dec. 4, 2006, Pfc. Albert Nelson was wounded and Pfc. Roger Suarez-Gonzalez was killed during an exchange of fire in "building #2" close to the south bank of the Euphrates River in Ramadi, Anbar province, Iraq. This video, which was recorded from the point of view of the More..men in building #2 that day, appears to show an American tank firing on them, followed by an attempt to assign official blame for the death of Suarez and the injuries to Nelson to Iraqi insurgents firing mortars. Nelson later died of his wounds.
The video comes from a camera mounted on the helmet of Sgt. 1st Class Jack Robison, who donned it to record a firefight in progress. The footage begins with Robison in a courtyard attached to building #2. The original video was 52 minutes and 38 seconds long; Salon has abridged it to show the alleged friendly fire incident and its aftermath, including exchanges between Robison and a commanding officer as to whether or not a U.S. tank fired on the building, and the comments of other soldiers in the house who say they saw the tank fire at their position. The video shows Pfc. Nelson receiving medical attention for his left leg, which was severed in the blast. At the request of Nelson's family, we have blurred his image throughout.

We forget that despite much of our efforts to cover it up, Iraq wants us to go home. We forget that, while we are free to walk around the streets of our cities, built from the labor of the blue collar worker, Iraqis take a chance of being shot or blown up in the streets. Something that wasn't happening before 2003.
We've killed 10 times the amount of innocent Iraqi's through collateral damage during the war and occupation than Saddam did with his chemicals or death squads. The point that the ends do not justify the means, the cost in both human lives or tax payer dollars. So while you are on your bike, riding freely down the road, free of IED's remember that there are these courageous motherfuckers, with no choice. Let's make their sacrifices be worth something and not just to protect Bush's oil and war profiteering. If these beautiful sons of bitches should do battle, let them strike at the heart of the issue and not try to stave off unwinnable attacks from IED's. We are trying to heard cats in Iraq. The effort, economic and logistical cost to maintain this fruitless endeavor is ridiculous and something McCain is admittedly willing to do for the next 50-100 years. We need bigger and better minds on this issue.
So, yea... I think we get enough sunshine and smoke blown up our asses by the media. It's time to start dosing everyone with the realities of war. This is the cost that many familes are paying and it's time we fucking do something that works.

My son is a Marine, 2 tours in Iraq, and now his second tour of Afghanistan, Wounded once. "IED". And yet he continues to serve. Iraq is done for the most part. But we all know that the mission has been forgotten, Iraq invasion had little to do with Iraq and a lot to do with Iran. Saddam got what he deserved and I have recorded his hanging and when I have doubts I watch it to remind me of the murderous bastard was so smug all the way to the gallows. The Iraq invasion was not necessary at the time. The real threat was Al Qaeada which was in Afghanistan. Bush lied to get a foot hold. Since then, we've made this ridiculous commitment to secure the country from invaders that <b>WE</b> don't agree with. We are trying to force politics they don't agree with. It is not our oil, country or people. We need to use their money to hire civilian security forces (mercs). If they want their independence from a shitty regime, LET THEM STAND UP AS A WHOLE. Until we get that kind of commitment from their MAJORITY, then I see it as them not wanting it. Many of them don't want us there.

I make food at the air port and serve coffee to those in travel so yeah I serve and I have 3 kids in the military one was wounded in Afghanistan and is now serving again in Afghanistan, and one leaving in Dec. Yes and I am proud as hell of every last one. They serve for duty honor and country. I was speaking generally regarding religion. The government can also prevent Corporate assholes from taking advantage of those not fortunate enough to have an endless money supply. I also think abortion is the right of the mother, so long as the baby can't be birthed and survive on it own at the time the mother wishes to terminate her pregnancy. In other words if the baby is still a parasitic organism, it has no rights to life, as it's not 'living' on it's own. I like the use drugs if you want idea as well. People partaking in drugs in their own homes is there business. If they go out and harm others, they should pay according to the laws that apply.
I don't think it's the U.S. government or the States right to tell you who you can marry, so long as the person is a legally consentual party.
