Swingular - Swingers

Swingers Forum - Tired of Politics and Religion!

line
Previous Post Next Post
We're in on this too. Leave the politics and religion to other sites - both tend to cause arguments and hard feelings (not hard-on feelings).
Agreed! Yeah! Yea! Affirmative! Yes! PLEASE!!!
I humbly suggest that you folks get a grip! I believe this site is a national site? Do you hear the rest of the nation bitching when the forum turns into a Utah date-a-thon every Thursday through Saturday? Personally, it doesn't do a whole hell of a lot for me! Therefore, I should suggest you all knock it off?

If all you care to converse about 24/7 is sex, maybe it would be a good idea to find additional outlets for your narrowly focused world!

The popularity of some of the current threads would indicate to me that some swingers are able to discuss real life situations as well. Politics and religion are hot button topics and elicit strong emotions. Name-calling is likely to be a result. Solution - DON"T READ non-sex related threads.

I don't happen to like name-calling, so I'm usually able to resist the temptation. But, the narrow-minded responses on this thread so far have me working on a few. :)

p.s. it's called venting - it's healthy (especially in turbulent times)
Your comments are dead on the money.
I don't think the zealous political fanatics get it.
If I wanted to talk politics I would seek places, people or web sites that were looking for the same.
Swingular is for something other than politics.
I would love to hear from the moderators regarding this issue.
Everyone have a great weekend

I like cereal.
hotcouple34 - Please tell me what topics are forbidden in the "Just Talk" section of the forum (as opposed to the "Lifestyle Talk" section), and I will gladly try to comply with those restrictions. :)

Well Dale, we all know creating a forum to find someone to work on your roof in exchange for sex is allowed....but wait, weren`t we just told this is a site for sex and meeting others for the purpose of having sex.

We have exercised our right to not view a forum because of its content in the past and will continue to do so. Personally, we respect everyone that posted in any political forum because at least you care enough to contribute. We have seen many various views and considered everything we read in regards to casting our vote. So to those not sharing our same political views, who cares, we still think so many of you are hot as can be. Your differing views are not a turn off to us, but your willing to stand up for your beliefs and caring about this country is a sure turn on to us. Again, thanks for contributing.
Quack quack ;)

There is a reason why there are many categories on the front page for forum topics.

It's called diversity.

Something that many so-called swingers claim to hold as a tenet of their lives.

So...in theory, there is a little something for everyone.

Gosh...there are even sexual/Lifestyle-related categories...which PROBABLY means that someone...if they get REALLY wild and crazy...just MIGHT actually generate a thread that's based on something sexually oriented.

Of course...it's wholly conceivable that those same "someones" JUST might prefer to expend their energy composing and generating a thread that whines about the non-swinging threads.

Perhaps ADMINISTRATOR should add an additional category to the list and call it "JUST FOR THE SAKE OF WHINING". I'm certain that this thread would be very apropos for that category.

Come on people...get real...and get a life...and evolve.

If you're soooo tired of the religion/politics discussions of late...start a thread of something you like; of something PRODUCTIVE, and bump the ones you don't like off the front page.

Yes...it's really THAT simple!

Gosh!

She praised Obama until she was picked for VP Candidate. HAHA! Ouch.

Hey, isn't it always, "Yeah, we hardly come to this site anymore because of what's written in the forum" or "We know of 'a few couples' that have left because of what's written on the forum". If that were true, I am glad they left. Anyone that is uptight to that extreme shouldn't be on a website like this anyway.

Strange - was this forum not here when those that object to it joined? Having been on this site for a long time (first as MelbCpl and now as Swingtide) as far as I can remember it has always had one area that was open to discussion of things like religion and politics. Sometimes we read them and sometimes we ignore them - choice is good. At least to us Swingular is not just a "sex site" but a swinging lifestyle site and for some of us that is more than how many notches you put on your bed during the last party. If anyone wants the other topics to show up more in opening page than make more input into the other areas of the forum. Start new topics in other areas and work to keep them going.

Everyone has their own view of what swinging is all about and that is good - I'd hate to think we had to pass some checklist of qualifications to consider ourselves swingers. The site has room for all types of discussion so enjoy the areas you like and avoid the ones you don't like - not too far off from how most of us deal with what couple we want to be with! Personal choice and allowing other the same freedom of choice seems to fit the idea of the lifestyle :-)
it just gets old.... the problem is with the admin. I don't think they care or there would be a seperate section for such talk away from the front page. It is a swinger website no a political forum.

Mrs Simple refuses to come to the site anymore due to those few nut jobs that cant leave politics alone. I, find i jump on, look for messages then go elsewhere.

Any suggestions for other sites that that actually monitor the forums i think we are ready for a change...

Let me reiterate what others and myself have said.. I also find it funny that people are "tired of reading about politics and religion", when they have the choice whether to read and/or participate in controversial topics.

What I have noticed, to the contrary of the minority that complain about these subjects, is that there is far more participation (reading and or writing) with controversial subjects from the majority of this site. This includes the very people that complained. Shit, I mean they actually read the title of the thread, clicked on it, read through it and then take the time to post their judgment of everyone else participating, instead of taking that same opportunity to post in a sex thread or start another topic they deem acceptable for the website.

I find a lot less of my friends participate in the forums and on the site all together, when all the forum subjects are sex oriented. Many people, as well as I, find this website to be dry and boring when the only topics in the forum are, "Hey Look at my wife's gaping cooter" or the 10,418, 231, 121st thread about how much some insecure married dude hates single males. This is a sex site and not a single male bashing site right??? HAHA! So instead of going in those threads and bitching and whining like a fucking baby, I create my own... See how that works?

Anyway, It's interesting to see in any social group, that there is always someone that tries to limit the group to the boundaries they think acceptable for the entire group. Why are we trying to put conservative limits on a liberal lifestyle? I think boundaries should only be set in matters of legality, privacy and consent. What's interesting is that there are so many conservative swingers here, that would push their ideas of morality and within the rules of this website, try and stifle others freedom of expression and speech. Perhaps you few should quit the lifestyle and go to church.

I am not a member of the following website, but this just proves to you that these subjects are a swinger site norm and not limited to swingular.

We are just getting caught up on this thread and all we can remember about it is that Bel gets all wet and tingly. Guess this site really is a swingers site after all.

And to the Don, our friends own another swing site and guess what, they even started a thread supporting Obama. Yes it was controversial but if you knew them you would understand, they are all about common sense and always support freedom of speech and expression.
So riderz, let me get this straight. On election day you are go to the polls and cast your vote for sex? And where is that poll located by the way, we would like to cum there and vote for sex too.

LMAO!
SIN, she was praising him on his politics.
I better not mention that I had pancakes and eggs for breakfast this morning, who wants to discuss that on a swinger's site? :p

I don't like discussing politics, so, I do not read or post there. How hard is that? :s
