ABC News has a test at the below address to see whose campaign statements,
McCain's or Obama's, you agree with most. They don't tell you who made
the statements, of course, but a statement made by each candidate on
the same topic (economy, immigration, judiciary, etc.) will be side by side.
You just pick which statement you agree with and, after selecting all 13,
you'll find out which candidate's philosophy you support.

that is an interesting test, however a lot of the questions are biased and expect a response based on part of a statement or idea. at this point i think it is hard to find a news outlet that is not trying to push one or the other candidate.
for myself all i can say is that it will be interesting to see who the people chose in november

I sided with Obama by a landslide... Who'da thunk?

vote for McCain for president and let him handle external affairs and Obama as vice president and let him deal with internal affairs.
How about no McCain in the picture at all. I don't want that old fool handling anything.

The debate thoroughly solidified my support for Obama. I don't think he is spot-on in every regard and I acknowledge his youth and short record of experience (which makes Biden a good fit politically and strategically). He has vision and is forward looking.
I feel McCain is an honorable man (as politicians go). His heart is in the right place. He is a patriot. He's simply mired in the past with his "life view". He repeatedly talked about Reagan and Iraq (ad nauseam) because he seems to be stuck in some sort of time warp. He showed relatively poor ability to think on his feet. Giuliani's post-comment that McCain took Obama to school was one of the more laughable comments a talking head has made in awhile. In my opinion, McCain is an honorable man (relatively speaking - for a politician). He can be an independent thinker and I suspect would not be as much of a reprise of W as we might suspect. A major voice in the Senate is what he should be. He can't get beyond his POW experience mid last century to view the entirely different world he is faced with today. His refusal to consider "talking to the enemy" irks the hell out of me. How can we ever achieve peaceful solutions if we don't have discussions at the highest level?
Other than "talking to the enemy", my comments are based on the two people (everyone already knows what issues they want to vote for). I think the decision needs to be based on the individual's potential to be a good leader in the extremely challenging years ahead. McCain showed himself to be inflexible in thought and incapable of loosening his grip on a WAR mindset. He is, in fact, old school - that isn't going to get us there.
I know this thread was started using the issues as the topic. I'm trying to make the point that most people aren't going to change their mind as to how they feel about the issues. Those who may be undecided despite the differences between the candidates on the issues, should evaluate the remaining debates to determine which mind has the FLEXIBILITY and VISION to take us forward. There are few pat answers in this rapidly changing world. Examine the mind.

9 to 4 I voted for Obama. This shows how I feel neither has all the right ansers but Obama has a better grip on wha tis important to me.
while we tend to agree with Obama we really dont believe that any president can fill in the holes our current one dug in less than 8 years!
This is just like a 5th class president election, a candidate promising ice cream for lunch everyday, but there is no way they can deliver on their promises.
Both of these candidates are promising a lot, and neither one can effectively deliver way they are saying.
Do I like McCain or agree with hwat he is saying? No not really.
Do I think Obama has the experience to run the most powerful country and military in the world? No, he has never ran a buisness, town, city or state. He has never taken a leadership role in the senate or been a sponsor of any major legislation during his extremely short term as a senator. How can herun the country?
If I actually believed that Obama could deliver on his promises of change, then I would vote for him, but his ideas of change is just a dream that the split party system in our country will never allow.
The approval rating for congress is floating around 11% to 13%. Congress makes legislation not the president. If we want change we need to get new people in congress that does not have their hands in the pockets of the lobbyist and soecial interest groups.
Here is an interesting video that is going around now.

So the Republican ruled House and Senate under both Carter & Clinton voted to have those signed into law....And to say that this caused fuel price sto to skyrockte is absolutely ludicrous, a little ol' organization called OPEC sorta play's with that pricing...
Both parties are to blame for this mess - both had hands in causing it and letting it perpetuate, the big question is what are they going to do about it.....
