While I don't usually agree with TR, I have to agree that the weed should be legal. I have said since mid 80's that pot should be legalized. I would gladly go pay the state $100. for a pot license that would allow me to possess up to an ounce at a time and up to 10-20 plants in various stages of growth for MY personal use.
It is a plant that can be grown by anybody anywhere. That is the hold up to it becoming legal. The gov't cannot figure out how to tax the small average consumer.

if there was a way to see how much tcp was in a persons system, like booze, then I would be for it. However there is not. If it is leaglized there should be strict control on use and public safety. I have been permintly maimed because a driver was smoking grass. untill there is a safe portable way to test for use and ability I have to vote no. however there is clear evidance that medical use has positive effects so to that I say yes.

They should look at the medical side of legalizing marijuana. Having a sister-in-law who died of cancer, the only thing that would ease her pain in the end was smoking a big fattie. Morphine wasn't cutting the pain at all. So I say legalize it!!!!!! And in response of the person who was maimed by someone driving under the influence; I'm sorry you got hurt. Most people who smoke know when it's safe to drive or not.
