We gave up long ago trying to upload images to the forum...regardless of the browser we use, we're not longer able to share images on any thread.
Maybe your pictures are to big to upload or your ISP's upload bandwidth isnt big enough in your area to make such big packet uploads.
Microsoft has a free script to resize pictures, Works awesome.. If you use it right click on the picture you have saved and it will be in there as resize picture,

Typically I resize all of my images just for uploading purposes as most sites can't handle a 7+ mb filesize.
Maybe an additional resizing is in order?

Thoughtgarden try holding down CTRL key while you hit (upload attch) you may have to hold it down a min or more just wait eventually you will get "upload successful" this has been working for us.
We just uploaded this photo using that trick it took about a min to upload how this helps.
