We read these forums and wonder WTF is going on. We get some great topics posted here for example the one Grouptherapists did on sexual orientation. We have people reaching out for advice like in the uniballer forum. Why is it these forums get little attention but others go on for days just full of unreadable ramblings? Great, you hate Obama or you hate McCain, who cares. Go vote for who you like and if you want to have a discussion on here can`t it be done like the football threads were in a non offensive manner with no drama.

In answer to the post. Some people obviously post on here to get attention and reaction (and we aren't referring to this original poster). We would only hope that those that have become annoying and distasteful with positng and comments, that we IGNORE and don't post to their comments and or give them the respect of it affecting us in any way. This as you know only fuels their drive. It is shown that when they don't get the reactions that they anticipate that they look to other avenues for their "Pain Bodies" (ohh that maybe too deep for some - LOL).
So read and respond to those that promote good for the site and the real sincere members, while leaving those others to go their way that don't. IF someone takes it off topic bring it back in your post and comments - PLEASE - Hell THOUGHTGARDEN Can you commit to that - JK - LOL

I think some of the stuff posted is just plain funny. Personally, I don't really care that much either way. People have the freedom to express themselves and I am not always agree with what they post. Some of the posts will resonate with me and others I just dont care.
I guess my advice is to enjoy the posts that interest you and appreciate that we are not in a country where everyones thoughts and posts are censored.

The problem for me is not so much the filtering of the spam, which I've distastefully had to become accustomed to (C luvs junk mail).
To me, we are talking the equivalent of trying to have an adult conversation that is continually interrupted by the demanding needs of an unreasonable (fill in the blank).
Once a topic is derailed, it seems to have no chance to follow any kind of comprehensible path (at least in recent weeks).
I'm not going to worry about it any more - the NFL regular season is almost here

Well said Group, thank you. We are not asking for the forums to be moderated or lose your freedom of speech. It is very simple, if you have a disagreement, make it known in a more respectfull manner. Let me lay out a scenario for you.
We are all here to meet others that we connect with so the larger the membership the better our odds of finding a match, correct? So let`s say we have a few forums on the front page with all the hate and insults that have been clogging these forums lately. Maybe a couple or single lady joins the site and is checking it out and sees the drama right on the front page. Because of your post, this possible matching person will pass you by not wanting to get involved with someone so full of hate or a drama queen. They may think this site is full of drama and leave the site. After all the work Rob put into this site, does he deserve to have a few idiots ruin it for him. There has been a few people that stopped posting on these forums because of the garbage that goes on here. To bad the site lost intelligent input form these people.
Why do we bring this topic up now? We recently met a couple by chance who knew us from our postings on here. Once we got to talking they said, wow, you are nothing like we thought you would be. Unfortunitely, we left them with the image we were assholes because we got caught up in the shit slinging. They are learning the real us in person but we may not be that lucky with everyone else so we are vowing to let the drama queens keep to themselves. We are vowing to not add to the fire. How many of us does it take to tell someone they can`t spell?
We are asking anyone that is willing to commit to making this site attractive to the current and new members to sign in on the forum. You can still disagree, but refer to the football forums to see how it can be done with class. We feel this site is being dragged down by all the nonsense and we will not see it get ruined without an effort to save it.
Now we have posted in an open forum and that opens us up to criticism so feel free. Go ahead and blast away on us. Go look at our pics on our profile and criticize them all you want. Actually, if you have a beef with anyone on the site, please just take out your anger on us. This way the rest of you can enjoy the site in peace. All we ask in return is that you join Dons Free thinkers group and do it there.
