I think it's safe to say that one's age plays an important role in lifestyle decision-making.
There is a great variety in how folks seem to approch the issue of potential playmates' ages("couldn't care less about age"/"we are youthful for our age and prefer same"/etc., etc.).
My question is: What are some of the more interesting stories that may have happened when you had occasion to stray from your normally preferred age range? What went right? Why? What went wrong? Why?
Being somewhat of a strive-for-good-communications nut, it would seem to me one of the biggest obstacles for diverse age encounters is undestanding the other's frame of reference (pre-computer age vs. post-computer age, for example).
Note: I understand we are talking about sex, not trying to find a conversation buddy. But, for most I would think, there has to be some desire for commonality outside the primary focus.

My remarks might not be exactly on topic... but...
Up 'til last month I was satisfied with my life here on Swingular. Things were going along at a comfortable pace. At 69 (my age not position... smile) I was acceptable - even for a dreaded single male. Then came the day (July 14th) I turned 70 and my world changed. There have been no contacts in the past 30 days. Even the two ladies (50/55) who were playmates won't even reply to my emails. Have I really changed that much or is it the number 70 ???

Well, we have gone much lower in age then we desrie and were pleasantly surprised. Both were single females and we are still in contact with both. The reason is all on them. Both were just mature way beyond what we would have ever expected.
We also have gone above our desired age range and had great success. Again we give all the credit to them. Knowing they were a bit older then we prefer, they took their time and made sure we had the communication in place and had some common ground.
While we prefer to find couples in our age range it is only because we try to put the odds in our favor. Like I just said in another post, good people come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

Well, this is a very interesting topic, and we have disussed it many times, and I have to say when we first got into the lifestyle we did have some sort of guide lines on what we were looking for, in age, physical atraction and many other things that poeple in the lifestyle run through their mind as you get into this lifestyle. but when we started meeting people, and getting to know better about the lifestyle, we kind of threw our guidelines out the window. We found that when everyone is in the same frame of mind, and clicking together on what kind of fun we all want to have, age is definantly the farthest thing on our mind. when you can see eye to eye, and be able to smile and laugh about the same types of things, and comunicate openly with people, all the guidelines, we thought were important are not so important, if we see we can have fun and have naughty exiting times, because that is what we are really here for, we just like fun happy poeple to play with, not based on physical or age. i think sometimes we all, get into analizing to much, and maybe loose the chance to meet some great people. fun is what this lifesyle is all about, and we all need to remember that, and quit judging people by age, size, color and all those other things that might keep you sitting at home instead of enjoyin the lifesyle, we have all chose to become a part of. ok, i'll stop now. everyone just have a great time and get naked as much as possible
