Ahh, got it. Thanks everyone for the clues. As someone that has been in construction for 26 years I could do the job no problem and it would be done with expertise. But I have a question that maybe the rest of you could not answer and just tell me to go right to the source so I invite them to reply as well.
The couple in question with the bad roof has made postings in the past about only playing with a certtain body type of person which I do not match. So let`s say we were that desperate and came all the way to Utah to put the new roof on. Should it be expected on our part that they would "pay up" once the job is done. Now before you answer please do this for me. Go to our profile and place one hand just above your eyes and with the other hand click on our pics. Once our pics come up lower your hand to partially cover your eyes. If you can stand the pain look at my pics and see just how far off of what they are looking for I am and answer me honestly. If the pain is to great lower your hand to completely cover your eyes and accept my apologies in advance for any pain this has caused you.
Now, I have to offer a different perspective. While it is not something I would ever do, I can`t blame them for asking for help in this tough economy. Four years ago after hurricane Charley blew thru here we were contacted by the owner of a group we belonged to. He said friends of his got hit badly and were attemting to do their own roof and got in way over their heads. He was asking for volunteers to come and help out a fellow lifestyler and group member. That is it, no promise of nothing for your help. Just a group helping our fellow members. Turns out the couple needing help was someone that turned us down with a generic response on another site a few months before. Because of my skills and leadership we got the job done with a group of people that had no idea what they were doing. Funny thing is that couple learned that good people, despite their pics, come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.
She wanted to "thank" me but I would not accept. A friend asked for help, I provided it, end of story. So my question is this. Is the lifestyle that much different in Utah where you would not be able to get friends to come help when you are in need. Or is it your standing within the swinging community that determines if you will get help or not.

When helping our friends out the only thing we expect in return is their continued friendship. Good deeds are not get out of jail free cards either. I know we can make a post to our group and have several people here to help us in a time of need. They know the same of us. Living in Florida with the storms makes that a nice luxury to have. Life sure is great most days isn`t it.

So please, for the love of GOD and everything holy...let's spare everyone the sappy and teary-eyed proverbial "Hero Story" of how swingers flock together to help the less fortunate.
Yes, yes...I know that there have been some marvelous demonstrations of compassion, and that so-called "brotherly christian love" towards fellow-swingers, that we have all seen posted on the threads numerous times, and that's all good and I'm sure Jesus is happy about that....but trust me, that was in no way the intention of this thread.

I recently went through very serious surgeries, and Ive never seen a group of friends more caring and supportive than the ones we have made in this lifestyle, even ones we had never even met! Of course you find out who the two-faced ones are, and we pity them, but we could never ask for more supportive friends then the true ones weve made in the lifestyle!
