Swingers Forum - Lifestyle versus vanilla couples

Over the past few months, we have known about ten couples that have split up. Only two were in the lifestyle. We feel the lifestyle makes a couple stronger and closer, more able to hanbdle the stress in todays world and economy. Do you think lifestlye couples have an advantage over the vanilla couples when dealing with pressures that might make a couple split?

I guess your wording is better then mine to describe how we feel. Ours was a strong relationship but now it is even better with added communication because of our involvement in the lifestyle. I know this is but one of many examples but our lifestyle friends can come over to our home, share the night with other adults, have fun, swim, use the hot tub, and all it cost them is a snack to share with everyone else. Now you have the vanilla couple going out for the night to the movies, what would that cost for the night, maybe 35 bucks. We don`t go to the movies much so our numbers are probably way off.

It just happens we were talking about this recently and we saw a new couple to the lifestyle post about how to get started and thought it was a good time to talk about this. If you are in a trusting and secure relationship, we think the lifestyle only makes it stronger. We hope to get a lot of feedback on this so the newer couples can see the benefits of the lifestyle outside the obvious physical enjoyment.
