Swingers Forum - Clothing Optional Resorts

I'm guessing this group would be one of the best to gain advice on this topic :)

I'm looking for an adult only (no kids allowed) all-inclusive resort either in:

A) Mexico
B) Hawaii
C) Caribbean

I've scoured the net and see that there are several in Mexico but haven't found any in Hawaii. I know there are many in the Caribbean but those seem more wild (based on findings) and am concerned with hurricanes considering the possible time of year we would go. The trip will be for a mostly vanilla female and a not-so vanilla male. This would be the first trip of this type and very much outside the comfort zone of the female howeve she is willing to try topless and he of course has no problem going in the buff. The main reason for the aprehension of the female is her weight (she's about a size 18 and short but DAMN fine looking in my books). I really think that this would help her overcome her self-conciousness with her weight and open her mind a bit more to lifestyles.

So on to my questions:
1) How 'Barbie and Ken' are the resorts (all you see in the ads are Barbie and Ken)?
2) How sexually charged are the environments?
3) What's an estimate on cost for the whole shabang (airfare from SLC and resort costs)

I'd really like to find one that is clothing optional and not extremely sexually charged. I mean if something happens then GREAT, but I don't want it to be shoved down her throat.

I'd appreciate any advice you guys could offer. I'd like to make this happen late next year for both.

Thanks everyone!
We have gone to Hedo II a few times. It is not what you think there. Our first trip there, we were scared to death. We thought it would be this big Roman Orgy going on or something. But it wasn't. It was very laid back. Of course it is not only the resort, but the group that you go with that kind of sets the tone as well. So don't forget to consider that! We are leaving again for Hedo II in 3 weeks and can't wait. As far as the nudity thing goes, just do what is comfortable. At Hedo II there are 2 sides: the nude side and the prude side. So you can pick where you want to be. Our suggestion is this. Don't try to over analyze it because you will create stress and worry on yourselves. Just book for the prude side and hang out and play it by ear. If you want to try taking the top off first and walking down to the nude beach and seeing, then go for it. It is hard to set goals or ideas before you get there. Sounds crazy, but it is true. Just go there and treat it like a regular resort and just see what happens.

As far as the Ken and Barbie thing, that is not what everyone looks like. There are people from all age groups and all size groups. And the great thing is, no one judges you. You are who you are, and I know for us, that was my wife's hardest phobia to get over. She was afraid that everyone seeing her naked would snicker or joke about her. But after a few times of trying, she got a little more comfortable and a little more and now she is pretty much ok with it.

So just try it and see what happens. It is not a full-on swing fest. I promise you. The pricing includes everything you can eat and drink and also includes snorkeling gear and some other water sports if that interests you as well.

Hope this helps. Feel free to email us if you have any other questions!

We just got back from Desire in Cancun. The resort is very nice. There is a good mix of cpls. It's only cpls no singles. The hospitality is off the hook. We talked to a lot of cpls that had gone to Hedo and they said they would always come back to desire. They keep you entertained all day long.
Thanks for responding to this. I've done a bit of research on the Mexican resorts and it seems that Desires in Los Cabos would be the milder of the 2 Desires resorts in the area. While I would love to spend a week at HedoIII, it's not something that's in the books for now.

I'm curious on pricing as well. Is there a huge price difference between the Jamaican and Mexican resorts? Keep in mind we are in Utah so I'm guessing airfare is cheaper to Mexico (not to mention shorter).

Thanks again for helping me make a good informed decision!
Hello,
What about Sandals it's in Ocho Rios jamaica it's only adults and its a whole package deal.... everything included.... we been looking at that not so much Risque.... has anyone heard anything about Sandals?? can you go topless..?
I had thought about Sandals and while it is classified as an Adults only resort, the website states they do not condone topless or nudity. A quote from their site:

Sandals does not promote or advertise clothing optional or topless sunbathing. In the event a guest chooses to participate in this activity in more remote areas, the management will intervene only if it becomes disruptive to other guests. We welcome the opportunity to host you at one of our award winning resorts.

This is why I'm thinking of Desires in Mexico. They allow you to be prude or full nude (or both depending on the mood).
We have the clothing optional/nudist resorts on our list of things to do.

We have spent a great deal of time traveling and visiting the nudist resorts in the SE USA.

Living in the Tampa Bay area we have Caliente and Paradise Lakes right around the corner. With our place in the N. GA Mtns we are close to the Grove and Paradise Valley.

If you decide you enjoy clothing optional I would suggest you give those a try.
Thanks to everyone for your help on this. Through the post, I was able to locate a travel agency who specializes in lifestyles travel in all the regions I was looking at.

Look out Cancun, a newbie couple is coming your way!
