As I walked down the busy sidewalk, knowing I was late for an important meeting, my eye fell upon one of those unfortunate, homeless vagabonds that are found in every city these days.
Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away as if the sight would somehow contaminate them.
Recalling some long ago priest who made an admonition to care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the naked,' I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person.
Wearing what can only be described as rags, carrying every worldly possession in two plastic bags, my heart was touched by this person's condition.
Yes, where some people saw only rags, I saw a hidden beauty!

I just love when people quote "Freedom of........EVERYTHING" [speech would be the correct quote] to justify their responses. Likewise I was exercising my freedom of speech it my original transaction.
I stand by what I originally said - period. And I will make no further comment to inflame individuals like yourself!

And since we are both very educated we are quite aware that the statement is "Freedom of Speech" We apologize for making a statement that upset you. We were just merely hoping that what GROUP posted and brought smiles to quite a few faces would be respected just as you said you wanted yours respected. We were also just stating that we didn't think GROUP was trying to be rude or offensive. We were not disrespecting your post or opinion. We were only given our retort. We do apologize again.

We are sorry if we offended any of the homeless in any way. In this being our election year we want to err on the side of political correctness. We therefore herby officially will start a fund drive, to help the homeless get computers so that they can read this and make the desired judgement and speak (or comment) for themselves. Any interested in donating please contract us with your donations.
