Hi Folks...
My profile says that I am in hatboro, PA but that is going to change in a few weeks. I am making a drastic change in my life. Actually, its more like going on an adventure. I am a software trainer and I am going to try my luck in Florida. I have a friend who has offered me a place to myself in Ormond Beach, free of charge. So, I am taking the offer.
I would appreciate any information, about the area, that anyone could afford me. The information I seek is with regard to what I should expect. Places to go for all kinds of entertainment like venues for Jazz & Blues, restaurants and the like; major companies - especially anything related to the IT industry and end-user software training; and anything else that you may think is informative that I may have forgotten about at four-in-the-morning. As well, I'd appreciate any info along the lines of lifestyle activities, clubs, known Meet-and-Greets.
Basically, anything you can relate that may help me get a feel of the land as it were is what I am looking for in the way of information. Any help would be appreciated.

The only advice we have is to watch out for flying trees during hurricane season,, Oh
and if you live in Ormond Beach you will have to buy a Harley to fit in

Make sure you get GOOD homeowners insurense.
well i lived in the daytona area for almost 28 yrs...and i can give you advice on some things to get you going when ya get there....if your looking for good lifestyle oriented activities try the playground...also ranch foreplay is a great club!
along the lines of resturants...just pick one...most of the food is awesome depending on your tastes!
there is every kind of bar and nightclub you could ever want in or with in short driving distance of daytona!
main thing i want you to know...don't underestimate the sun there....it will fry you quick!!!
it can blister you in an hour....so make sure you have plenty of sunblock
