We have our fun on Yahoo IM (under the same ID if anyone is intrested) with couples and single females, but notice there are a lot of fakes out there. We've seen people go to great lengths to "fake the funk" on a webcam, such as:
1: (most common) My wife is in the other room and/or sleeping
2: invites us to the cam but puts something over it until we bring up our cam
and once we bring up our cam never uncover theirs.
3: point their cam at another cam they snuck onto and say it's them (easy to detect because their monitor will cause scroll lines to appear.
4: (the most elaborate) somehow transmitt a previously recorded session through thier webcam. (non visually detectable)
Even once had someone point thier cam at their TV (which had a porn on it) and say it was them.
Now to combat the fakers out there we have come up with a simple test.
Ask them to hold up a certain number of fingers in front of them.
one of 2 things will happen at this point.
1: they hold up 2 fingers and are real
or
2: somehow their cam goes out and they stop responding to IM's
The question I prepose to this forum is this:

This is a good subject. We always have fakes on the internet and get the oh so famous my wife is sleeping or at work right now and for all those sittuations we dont turn our cam on until we see both on the cam and we let them know why we do this. There are many many fakes on Yahoo which is pretty sad when you have to lie just to get a peak at a couple on cam. But my advice to you is to be upfront with the person and tell them you wont turn your cam on until they prove they are real and if they truly are interested they will prove it. Hope that helps a little bit!
Fortunately, we have not had anyone try to trick us, yet, on camera. We are not too experienced with our webcam and have had limited contact with this medium between us and others. We have found the resolution and refresh rate jittering is not ideal, but maybe it is from our cheap cam? Would a better cam provide better picture quality and more lifelike imaging?
If we dont see both right away...We turn our cam off..
We expect both parties to be present or we turn the cam off, just sounds practical due to all the fakes out there.

Hello All !! We have also run into alot of fakes also. It seem's as though alot people are not willing to be upfront and honest about their domestic situations. We typically ask to see both of them at the same time, even if only for a moment. After we have established that they are indeed what they claim to be, we will chat with either or both of them. E & J
Yes as I understand it, you can loop a cam feed and not even be there while it is playing. So we communicate through voice or type and cam at the same time. Hard to fake or loop a conversation, how about a phone call to confirm after meeting online. We will confirm we are real to anyone we are truly interested in.
We have had that happen to us. there is another couple that IMS us all the time and wants to see us on cam but when we ask for them to go on too their cam is broke, the wifes not home or she is sleeping. So we told them when they can both show up to be on their cam we will chat. He had the nerve to say I was pushy yet leaves IMs that say are ya naked? all the time.
oh well people like that are not secure with themselves and don't know what they are missing!!

We got to the point if some starts a conversation with "Do you c2c" We dont reply cause so many fakes and we dont have a powerful pc to waste time with them we feel if we get to know someone well enough then we will shut down everything just to cam and spend the first few minutes testing them and hopefully they test us too....

Cams.... Don't ya love it when someone IM's you on yahoo and asks if you want to see their cam... and then when you say yeah, sure... they turn it off after 30 seconds and IM you with nasty messages about how your not playing fair... they never ask if you have a cam too and I do not have one IN MY OFFICE at WORK! LOL

This is easy for us we RARELY use web cam have found out most times the cpls that have insisted that we cam first were as FAKE as could be. If a cpl insist on web cam play we simply say NEXT! We like to meet in person over a drink, cup of coffee or a nice night out to dinner we had one cpl that wanted to meet us my wife does not like to cam so she was only on cam for a min or so then the cpl on the other end said "if she is taht shy no sense in meeting" that was thier lost as she is NOT shy in person she turns into a very wild sex kitten in private settings.
