I hate this freakin state. I am not sure, but I think I actually felt 10 points of my IQ leave me when I crossed into this state. I had a headache for days over that one, then I heard one of them speak and my head has been pounding since. Racism is on both sides here, and quite honestly, Due to the attitudes on both sides here, there have been very few we have even been interested in as a result. Ignorance is indeed bliss. Being interracial we get a lot of shit. We do live in a small town and some of it is expected even though that is not an excuse. It has been so bad that at times we can't even go out and enjoy a meal. Needless to say, finding playmates here is very tough. We are hoping to relocate in the next 3 years because the ignorance at times is so overwhelming. We get it from both sides. We are very respectful people and we maintain our composure but sometimes it is hard to ignore the stupidity and obvious racism.

From what we see at the club socials/dances/parties, there are more and more interracial couples. Interestingly enough, 5 or 6 years ago we didn't see black couples at all let alone interracial couples. There are quite a few white females with black men but there are also so white men with black ladies.. Racism in NC isn't dead but in the world of swinging we just don't see it..
Look at the other swinging sites and here as well, many interracial couples and married for a while... So is there really an issue with racism or interracial relationships.... If one looks one will find it... If we but look we will also see that racism is not what it used to be...

I was raised in Mississipi and I now live in Oregon..........The racial thing is just as strong on one side of the fence as it is on the other. Theres no excuse to be a racist whether your black or white. But it happens......Ignorance isnt a racial thing.....Its a personal thing not divided into the color of ones skin. It happens to whites just as much as blacks......only thing is it seems more prevelant in small towns because there are less people and more things get noticed......It happens all the time in big cities as well its just the population is so large its not noticed as much. However I did however notice that the date on the tape was well over three years ago. Don wasn't saying that racism is one-sided. Don, wasn't provoking an argument by showing the video. Don, was excercising his right to express his disgust with a video that shows that ignorance is still alive and well. I guess since it happened 3 years ago, 150 years ago, or even 400 years ago it makes it much better. For some reason I don't see it that way when I am called a nigger on a regular basis or my wife loses a job after her boss finds out her husband is black or when were turned down for an apartment because of being interracial. First of all lets handle the police issue. We as a socity hire men and women to help us look after our best intrest. Sometimes, we as an induvidual, dont like what they do because it affects us adverley. But that is what the courts are for. Hate to say it but this is a problem everywhere........I travel all over the US and I see it everywhere I go. From N.Y. to L.A. Wa. State to Fl. stupid racist people are everywhere. As a matter of fact one of the largest racist groups in the US is located in NY, but everywhere we all travel these stupid people are there. I live in NC and deal with it here but I also deal with it all around the country.
So to follow along some people's line of thought that it is ok to yell racial slurs at a perpetrator (perp) of an illegal action that is running away, I offer up these:

That is not a responsibility that can be handed out lightly and as a result ANY law enforcement personell should be called to account when they lose their cool. If they can't handle the stress of the JOB then they need to find something a bit less stressful.

WOW,....I thought this was swingular not fox.com.....There are many ways to divide people and some of you are doing it to fellow posters here. So many of you do your self-righteous posts a disservous. Many would use our type of lifestyle to discredit us. In many states the upholding of "blue laws" would result in arrest of what we advertise is our pasttime. So i do not feel that personal attacks on others show a knowlage that one is better at spotting racism than another. To be honest, I feel this subject is to divisive to be posted here. YES it is a social plague on our society, but as some of our fellow posters have proven that topics like this only further divide people when they try to comment the best they can and it comes out the wrong way. Did you post it to share it with others and then for those that wanted to comment on it would have that opportunity? This kind of thing really gets people interacting on the site and it helps people get to know each other on a more personal level, by seeing where they stand on different issues. I am a self-proclaimed shit-stirrer, but with the intent of making things interesting.
I can still care less what people think of me personally, nor do I care if they like the topics that I choose. They have the power to refrain from clicking on the link that brings them here. Yet, the never do. Instead, they use it has a place to point fingers and chastize others to make themselves seem more intellectual, socially superior or "above it all". By being here they prove the contrary is true. They are just like you and I. We all dig drama and controversy despite the lies we tell others and especially ourselves. ;-)
