We are going down for the weekend, we will arive thursday morning around 9:30 am and leave sunday night. We would like some suggestions of places to visit. ie; strip clubs, swinger clubs, shops, beaches, clubs in general, generally the night life.
Of course the beaches would be considered day life.
Also we would rather spend the money on going out, so suggestions on safe clean places to stay.

A great, safe & clean place to get some sun is Seal Beach. You can park AT the beach and if you feel like getting a bite to eat after getting tanned, you can walk to main street and have your choice of a lot of nice restaurants, pubs... and shops. Surprisingly, same specifications for Huntington Beach by the Pier.
For a touristic stop during lunch... Pink's on Melrose and La Brea. get some great hot dogs and then walk them off on Melrose, window shopping and people watching. We used to do that at least once a month. (a note on Pink's, go after lunch or the line will be long and the wait about an hour)... but worth it
Dinner? El Torito Grill (not El Torito Restaurant) on Fashion Island, Newport Beach.
Swinging anyone? Freedom Acres, where the 15 and 215 meet in Devore. Huge house and has everything inclusive (dancing, food, jacuzzi, pool, and rooms) and its BYOB. Friday about 100+ couples, Saturday 200+ couples... no singles allowed.
The list goes on and on on places to have adult fun (ie. swing) but we are sure you'll get a lot more info than these suggestions.
