Every year, we put on a big party in August. everal people from here have attended by invite in the past. This year we are opening it up. Here is the posting from another site.

OK,, Official start date for this trainwreck is August 14th. It will run through the morning of the 18th.

The Castle Rock cut should be open so we are looking at holding this one up in Padre Bay (location for the first one). Mileage wise, it's actually closer to this beach than the previous 2 years plus it opens up alot more lake to play on.

Dinners will consist of Potluck on Thursday night, Tittie's and Beer's shrimp boil on Friday night, and the Luau Pig on Saturday night.

We will be heading uplake to set up camp on Thursday Morning. Thurs. will pretty much just be a relax day.

Friday we will do some short trips to show off the lake to the newbies (probably Face Canyon and Rock Creek). We will get the pit prepped for Mr. Piggo on Friday.

Early Saturday morning, we fire up the pit then its off on the Poker Run.

Back to camp around 4 pm on Saturday, Do the Poker Hands... then eat Pig!!

Sunday morning,, nurse the hangover from Saturday night, pull up camp, and head in.



T-shirt design is in the works right now.

This is one hell of a good party so don't miss it.

After Dark party rated NC-17. Some partial frontal nudity. No refunds or rainchecks. Discount offer not valid in all states. Some assembly may be required.

Missed it past years. (1st year too shy, 2nd year too pregant. :P) Would LOVE to come this year.

Do you need to own a boat to come? What other information might be helpful to know?

You'll have to excuse the lack of info on this. It's a copy and paste from a boating website that we also frequent.

In answer to your question Hym,, lack of a boat isn't a deal breaker on going on this trip, but it sure helps to have one. Camp is approximately 20 miles uplake. If you don't have one, there are rental boats and pwc's availible or it's always possible to catch a ride with someone. Once you get to the beach, there is usually room in someones boat to run around in and it's a great way to meet people.

I do know that there will be a few people that will be running up from the marina every day with the exception of the Party Saturday night. They plan on tent camping it that night.

I haven't heard back from my houseboat rental contact yet but hopefully I'll see him out on the lake this weekend.

Last year, we had a couple of 75 ft houseboats with cuzzis out there. Cost per couple was around $450.00 plus an even split on the gas if I remember correctly. This was for Thursday through Sunday.

We will be setting up a meet and greet in salt lake for those that want to go,, kind of let everyone get a "feel" for each other. That way it's easier for someone to back out then if they have issues instead of when you are commited to a houseboat and are 30 miles uplake..

PARTY.. we still savour the food from last year... cant wait for the party after dark.. we are so there again. Just reserve us our room.

OK, I have the pricing for the houseboats that are availible for Powellfest. This year we have pricing packages from both marinas. If anyone is interested, email me and I'll give you the pricing information and contact info as well.

Unfortunately, the pricing is a bit higher this year, but then again, so is everything else

The deals I've worked out are a substantial savings over what the general public can get. There are also 3 of the houseboats availible with Hottubs!!!!!!!!

We are going to be up in Salt Lake at the end of this coming week. Perhaps an informal get together could be arranged? Say perhaps a night at Habits???

We would so LOVE to go to this! Just don't know how or if it is at all possible. We will see what we can do. Please send us the info on the off chance we can finagle something. Sounds like so much fun!!!! I haven't been to Powell in years!!

We are heading to Salt Lake tomorrow morning. Thinking of hitting Habits on Saturday night with CynandHim so anyone that wants to discuss the trip face to face has the opportunity.

HOW MANY ARE GOING? Good Question.. This party is almost a tradition for many who will be there. It was started many years ago by a group of hot boaters. This is the first year they have opened it up to the general public and from what MARDONZI has told us, the number is in the hundreds. If you like Lake Powell, want to have alot of fun with a great group of adults.. this is the time to be there. BTW FYI, there are T-Shirts being designed and printed especially for this event. There will be mens T's and ladies tops. If you are interested in reserving one or two, you might want to let Mardonzi know as they have all been purchased before they even got to the Lake in years past. They are great to help identify whos with the group too when you are doing poker runs or going to the docks or make a good cover up in the sun.

For those who are jumping on board,, I just wanted to throw out a bit of info to help everyone out.

First off,,

There will be some people here who are vanilla types. These guys have been to the party for the previous couple of years and are well aware of the activities that go on. We make it a point to seperate the beach.. lifestylers on one side and vanillas on the other. The vanillas know that if they come across the beach after dark, they are going to get an eyefull (that usually doesn't stop them.. in fact a few have come over to the "dark side" after this party.

The main rule of thumb is consideration. Same as any other party.. No means no. If you think about breaking this rule, just remember that it's a LONG swim back to the marinas.

Another thing, the 2nd year we started this, we decided to incorporate a poker run, a raffle, and a luau dinner and a into the mix with all proceeds, after food expenses, going to one of the local charities. With this out there, it has allowed the marinas as well as other manufacturers, boat dealers, and others to donate not only the discounted houseboat rates that we got, but some killer prizes. Poker hands will be done on Saturday and a raffle will be held on friday. Poker hands are 10.00 a hand and the raffle tickets are one for $5.00, and three for $10.00. As an example, some of the prizes being raffled or given away are $200.00 gas cards for the marinas, ski vests, etc...

One of our participants is a Party Gals dealer and has put together a basket worth about $350.00. We will be having sort of an off the wall pagent for MS.POWELLFEST. with the winner getting this. We are still putting togther the events for this but anticipate is to be similar to some of the bike rally contests that some of you might have seen (hotdog deepthroat, etc...)

In the past, we have had T shirts made up for this party. They are pretty nice this year. CynandHim's son has done all the work and they are way cool. We have done Logo'd T's for the guys and are doing some string style tanks for the ladies. Cost on these are $15.00 a piece if you would like one, let either us or Cynandhim know so we can get a count.


We will be doing a Taco and Enchilada dinner on Friday night and the Luau Pig (done in the ground polynesian style) on Saturday. We are asking for a non required donation for this will all proceeds above the cost of the food to go towards the charity (I can't list the charity until we are out on the water, but it's well worth it). With us doing this, the only thing people really need to bring is dinner for however many nights above and beyond the 2 nights you are there as well as all your breakfast and dinner stuff. In the past, we have all pretty much thrown everything together and done it pot luck style for the breakfasts. It's easier to cook all this up in a couple of houseboats than to have 20 couples all trying to do thier own thing.

I need to throw this out there...

This is just something we do to help support these charities and also warrant the donations that we receive for prizes for the poker run and for the discounted houseboats that we get for this party. With that being said, I would suggest going to Wahweap (Page) and hooking up with Sassymoose's houseboat once it gets there. It's a 75 mile run downlake from Bullfrog to where we are going to be camped and about a 22 mile run from Bullfrog. With that being said, I'm sure that finding a ride back to the marina on Saturday to drive home would be easier from there than Bullfrog.

thinking of getting together with who ever would like to meet on saturday at habits..
i know its loud and crazy .. but so am i. if details need to be talked about we can always go outside.. just thought it would be nice to have a face to face with people ..

Did someone say they were going to wear a swimsuit? My understanding was this is supposed to be a non tan line affair. By the way MARDONZI... tell us a little more about the MS. POWELLFEST CONTEST.... you have our interest perked.

we were sadened to hear today that the houseboat we were planning on going on for Powellfest which was coming out of bullfrog, has performance issues, and won't be cuming at all ..LOL.. and there doesn't seem to be any viagra or inducement that will help with this.

So at this point it does not look like we will be able to cum - opps come . Hope it is a blast and look forward to hearing all about the fun from whoever goes when you get back.

Well, we are fast approching the kick off date for the party and its looking like it's going to be a blast. We have gotten about 2500.00 worth of prizes so far for the raffle and the poker run and the goodies keep coming in.

Some of the prizes so far are a 2 day Powerboat rental from a local marina, a Gas card for the local marinas, Boating goodies from local and national suppliers and much more.

All proceeds from the raffle and the pokerrun are going to 2 local charities.

For those that are checking this forum out, this party is open to pretty much anyone. The only thing that requires any real preplanning is for those that want to rent a space on a houseboat or don't have a boat and need to get "adopted".

we are packing the Yukon,, heading out about noonish tomorrow, (Weds). Still have room if anyone needs a ride down. Otherwise.. see all of you on the water.

OK,, finally rolled into Page after a fun drive... wooohooo. I have been asked to provide directions for the late arrivals.

For those coming in from the North:

Stay on US 89. After you come into Arizona, approximately 5-6 miles in, you will see a sign that says Wahweap Marina. Turn left there and go through the pay station (preferably paying as to avoid the ticket... lol) After you go through the pay station, drive forward till you come to the first left hand turn. Take this turn and drive until you come to the stop sign (there will be a campground on your right as you are coming down the hill). At the stop sign, you will take a left. Drive about 100 yards and take the first right. You will start down a gravel road and see a houseboat dock right in front of you. This is called "T" Dock and it is where we will load.
If anyone has any questions, I'll be availible pretty much all day tomorrow.

What a great time and I am working on the Vender Thank you letters for the super super raffle/poker run goodies they supplied for us!

With all the canned goods left over.. and some of the packaged stuff not opened.
I was able to give the food bank the canned goods (they get the donation either tomorrow or Monday after I finish the Thank you letter) and the soup kitchen got the frozen corn and the good lettuce etc..

I have memories of someone in my really bright green thong.. strutting his stuff out on the beach with his pirate scarf on..

and many many more.. it was sooo great to meet all the new peeps and trying to moleste both the new and the vetrans.. lol
