Hello, my wife & I have a swinger's club on Yahoo. We have been trying to set up monthly parties & we need some help. We would like to have parties at a local motel, but we don't want to get burnt like we have before. If anyone can give us an ideal on the right way of setting up, collecting moneies..ect,ect...please do so. There are a lot of swingers in our neck of the woods & are looking for a way to unite them.
Our 1st party, we had asked for people to pay when they got to the party. We had rented a suite, 2 out of the 8 couples did. I guess that we're were being too nice & just ate the cost, it didn't taste good going down. So, any tips & help will be most welcumed! Thanks

Blk & White ~ There are many ways to go about this, but one of the better ways is to first arrange a "cocktail hour" in the Hotel lounge. Have the couples meet there. Before you give out the suite number, collect what their share of the cost is. If anyone refuses to kick in, don't be embarassed to ask them to please leave, and be sure never to invite them again.
If you send an invitation through evite dot com paypal will collect money for you if you so wish.
there is a few ways to do this . and like i noticed someone say u have to be careful on how u do things . if u dont have a lic, then u cant TELL PEOPLE THEY AHVE TO PAY U . u can ask for a dontation to help with the cost . but if anyone choose not to pay u still have to let them in . if not u can get into alot of trouble . one way to charge and it be ok is to have a private group with priavte parties .u can tell the group what kinda of party and then ask them to please send a dontaion with a id pic of them being 21 and over and then email them the loctaion to the party .i am sorry u have friends that dont want to help out with their share to help the party be good . i have never met anyone like that . all the private parties i have been to or heard abot everybody was more then happy to pay to help the party . but u have to be very careful about stuff like this . cops look for every reason to bust a swingers party . if the achool is being handed to u , they will bust u . if u tell them they have to pay to come they will bust u .
i would look in to it and the laws in your state . u can always stop by the cops station and ask some questions . but please be very careful . i hate to see people geting busted for trying to get together and have a party .
if people in your group dont want to pay u . then i would throw the parties at a club . u can call clubs and tell them how many people are in your group and what night u would like to go and most of the time they will give u and your group a deal to get in . and then the poeple have to pay . and it isnt going to u . so u dont have to worry about breaking any laws .
and yall still get to hang out and have fun .

As far as I can tell by reading the questioners post, it doesn't seem like he's running a club, a business or a for profit gathering. It sounds like he's just looking to recover shared cost. If that's the case, he doesn't need a lic. & he doesn't need to ask for donations. He's simply renting a suite for a party, and he expects those that have agreed to come to pay their share of the costs. There is nothing illegal about that. And unless he's violating a condition of the room rental, he really shouldn't have anything to fear. If he IS looking for profit, he'll have a lot more to worry about than just the police showing up at his door. Joe
Two things which may cause problems.. Does OK have any laws which prohibit or limit or place restriction on the number of people who can be in a room or place for the purpose of having consensual sex? And as part of the first question, Is there a restriction on how many may have sex together... like sodomy laws..?
Then if you collect money for any purpose it may be considered a business and a permit may be required to meet state law? Two clubs in NC in different locations have closed because of violation of state liquor laws. The parties have been being held in one place for 5 yrs and it was on private property and they charged nothing save for a "donation" to defray costs of setups and food that they supplied for their parties. The local constabulary determined that the Booze that was present (this is a BYOB situation and no liquor sold) in the home(which they called a business) without a license is in violation of state liquor law. They couldn't bust them for sex violations since NC cannot see behind closed doors. BTW both of these places conducted parties on Saturday nights regularly.. So please check regulatory bodies about sex laws and about liquor laws.. Tell them point blank that you want to have a lifestyle party in a public building in a suit or group of rooms that will be closed to the general public and that no alcohol will be sold or served but that people are encouraged to bring what they wish to drink and like any responsible person you will not allow people to drink and drive..You know that if people get intoxicated and have an accident the people who own the bar or who threw the party can be held responsible for contributing to that accident. You can have lifestyle parties without hard booze.... and have plenty of coffee abvailable for people who need or want it.. Be careful who you invite too..know who is at your party that they are not from the local constabulary.. Oh and NO DRUGS allow in the door.. Drugs on the premises can get people arrested who have nothing to do with drugs and you arrested as the people who rented or own the property. Just a few pit-falls that could cum up an bite you in the butt.

Setting up parties can be difficult to do successfully. and yes you have to make sure that it is all legal as well.
One way that we found to get around all of this....... have a house party. have it either at your home or a friend's home. Guest must bring own drinks and a dish to pass. We have done lots of these. They work out great. Everyone seems to enjoy themselves better and don't have to worry about the police.
Just some thoughts.

Why not preceed the lifestyle party with a lingerie party or a toy party. Adam & Eve have an operation with local reps who go out and have house parties. Also several lingerie companies have similar set up where they come out with lingerie. Make sure the rep knows it's a lifestyle event and that if they are in the lifestyle they can bring their SO for after the presentation. Most people now accept parties in the neighborhood like Pampered Chef or Tupperware or lingerie parties...and if a close neighborhood friend finds out and wants to be included all you have to say is that it's a club thing and you are not the hostess... But a party like that is also an ice breaker.. have coffee and softdrinks some cake and or cookies and depending on the group hot wings(which could make for an interesting night....for some lucky souls..We try to keep alcohol to a bare min for several reasons.... People have to drive home... The presentation starts during the afternoon so the swinging starts early... Alcohol also dulls the sex drive... and alcohol can be a reason for the local constabulary to break into the event. If no alcohol is present and noone goes outside then there is very little that the law can do... A way to get a party started and a fun evening for all. make sure that condoms are available... Next time one of the other couples can hold the party.. One couple had a party like this in a 14' X 65 foot single wide with plenty of room for 8 couples... Notmal house should be absolutely great.
