K I know this subject has been breached before but we must know what is going on with our computers or this website...? Whenever we have been trying to load a pic, it gives us a 408 timeout... can anyone please tell us computer illiterates what is going on? thanks D&S
We typically have problems uploading pics to the forums, but not our profile. We try both Firefox and IE, usually one or the other will work, and also clear our histories/cookies...

Make sure the pictures are sized down (about 500 pixels wide at most...less is good) and either .jpg or .gif (for pictures of people, go for .jpg).
Before doing anything with a forum post, upload the pic!
*Click "Browse", find your pic, Upload.
*Wait until you see the confimation.
*Type your message,
*Click "Save".
Never had a problem if I do it that way.
As for the Profile/Album pics? Size and format seem to be the issue. But we rarely have a problem.

I know the problem we've had has not been file size, as I routinely make small versions of the picture we shoot, just for uploading...so far, the cleaning o' the caches has been the only thing that works.
I'm not sure if DS's problem is pic size...but it IS an excellent suggestion
