Yesterday morning I lugged my large black bag past the two foot wall of snow that boarders our drive way. Today I am looking out my OPEN door at the beautiful blue gulf. No frozen car doors, no scraping, no falling on your ass on the side walk.

I am going for a drive with the windows down!!!!!

That sounds WONDERFUL, I miss summer. Have a good time in FL. Remember all of us back here in snow covered UT. (Just FYI.....It's snowing AGAIN!!!!!!!!!)
Been laying out getting some sun here in upper central FL - thought I'd better get outside today, tomorrow it's going all the way down to 60! (oh yeah, I'm also dodging all the alligators, mosquitos & tourists!)
very nice that you got away to the southeast.

it has been close to 80 here the last few days.

Have a great time.
maybe more of you will come visit, and not only Florida.

Hmmm I we actually had the A/C on Sunday afternoon LOL
need someone to rub a little oil on me here on the gulf coast.........only 82 here with a slight breeze.
We've been really bummed because our pool is only 70 degrees. Guess we'll have to get the heater going so we can use it.
It is very hard not to have a Good Time in Florida. We both came from the North. Only go back to visit. Don't miss our snow shovels and ice scrapers.
A great day at the beach;)
I volunteer for oil duty with LGSBCS!!!!!
I miss the snow but not the cold that comes with it then the black ice at every intersection. At least the snow was pretty till the neighbors dog came along and made it yellow. Under the lights, a fresh snowfall is one of the most beautifull scenes of winter.

We will be getting our florida snow real soon when our fire season starts and the wildfires burn out of control. A few years ago we had one come three houses away. You know you are in trouble when the helicopter comes and picks water up from the lake in front of your home and drops it right on top of your house.

Florida is ok but there are some way better places to live.
We had terrible fires in 1998 because up until then certain folks didn't like the idea of controlled burning....the fires were the results. Now that controlled burning has been reinstated, it will no doubt take several yrs. for things to get back under control. I'm a 4th gen. Floridian, regular fires in Fl aren't the norm. If we don't get some water back into our lakes tho, there may not be much water left for putting out fires! (I met my husband during the fires of '98, he was a firefighter who had no sleep for 5 days while helping to put out fires in Palm Coast)
Born & raised in Michigan....haven't been back in years! hehehehe

I hate the damn snow ;)
Extended Forecast for West Palm Beach, FL

Today: High: 84
OK - We now hate all of you! (Just kidding . . . . I think) We left Key West last summer and moved to Hayama, Japan (on the coast about 25 miles from Tokyo). Because we
Hey Watercoupl......What is better than riding or driving with the windows down?......driving with your top down.
Get it.......;)
Great thread, and yes, we are grateful we decided to move to Florida last April. We were tired of the winters up north, and have no regrets on moving here. We actually had to run the air conditioner last night to sleep, it was 83 in our apartment!

Anyone who visits the Tampa Bay area be sure to look us up! We will be more than happy to go to one of the wonderful beaches along the Gulf!

Here is the weather in our area the next 10 days. I hope this works.
