We were reading profiles, or info sheets, or FAQs somewhere, and a special point was made to inform everyone that a woman wearing a gold ring on the thumb of the right hand would be identifying herself plainly as a bisexual female.
Being brand new to the lifestyle, and using a little common sense, this sounds an awful lot like the colored handkerchiefs/scarves that were suppose to signal the type of sexual activities gay men were into back in the day.
Has anyone ever heard of this gold ring thing? Is it legit? How common is it? Or have we been handed a pig in a poke?

We have never heard of the gold ring but the pendant that is growing in popularity in Utah seems like a nice way to distinguish swingers in crowd. Being both straight, we prefer to be upfront and just say it like it is so there are no surprises. We have brought the pendant up in a few groups we belong to or run here in Florida and hope we can follow Utah and make this the universal way to find each other in a crowd.

How about using hand signs like gangs. Throw down your sign. A simple fingers crossed pointed at the person/couple would be easy and symbolize the intertwining of bodies.

My wife wears the necklace all the time. We haven't found anybody yet that knows what it is. We are waiting for that to happen

With as many people that prefer discretion, I wouldn't strain my eyes looking for obvious knick-knacks or bling markers, but there are some are out there.
