Army Medic survives sniper attack, just to treat the wounded sniper that made the attempt on his life. Why don't we sensationalize this shit in the media?

I would have treated him alright, medic or not, I would have treated the guy who just shot me with a round to his temple, he wouldnt have shot me or anyone else ever again! NEXT!
why can more people be that way in live and not just those at war . awsome job on the find Don thanks Ron
WTF?
Ironhorse your solution is an excellent way to disregard the geneva convention, loss of POW for negotiation and potential intelligence source.
Thats three ways to go wrong with that plan of action. The medic has the right of mind and has represented america's ideal very well.
I wonder if there are medals for that???

There are alot of things that people in the military do that are good, Generous and helpful that the news media will never show...
we biuld homes schools hospitals in remote areas where a family of three generations live in places the size of the average kitchen
and then there is stuff like this... soldiers going out to the middle of no where... we gave out water food clothes for the kids and many other things
there is supposed to be a pic here but its kickin my arse... so never mind everyone have a good one

That was awesome don! That guy deserves a medal! For anyone who has been in the service or has been/is or will be a medic knows what needs to be done even if you dont want to. I'm gonna send this one to all my medic and soldier friends. Well done don, good find.

I just wish the media would sensationalize this kind of stuff. They are so hell bent on propaganda, I don't even watch the news anymore. I watch the stuff that the soldiers, marines, airmen and seamen are saying. Honesty lies with those that stand to lose something.

TequillaRose... its not that the media doesn't want to display it(cause they don't) its more to the fact that they see it as.."Soldiers are over there to help those countries no need to report about what is supposed to happen, But oh wait... he shot a kid... hang him"
sorry not a fan of the media... and definitely not fond of them asking loaded questions

( Ha ha I learned to Spell check )

Sad thing is, the selective media perspective isn't anything new...
(Ex.) The boston massacre, an 1770 incident, where the grand total is 5 deaths - two on the scene and three from complications later on. Yet, the media called that an massacre and led weight to the american revolution.
Which means media misinformation helped with the formation of United States of America. LOL

too bad the media only shows and tells us things that are approved for their benefit . the benefit of the grand heirachy. the money companies and big banks pulling all the strings.
yes the scares the crap out of me and i hope that "WE THE PEOPLE" will take back our country and have government serve us not the other way around.
Fight for the Constitution. it is NOT just a peice of paper as some have said

Above all, this guy did the RIGHT thing by being human and doing the HUMAN thing, regardless of what the dirtbag did to him. He is a genuine hero in every and any sense of the word. Stop and think for a minute what this world would be like, were it full of more "humans" like him? Almost unthinkable how nice it would be.
Kudos, Don.

Medal of Honor Bestowed for Actions in Iraq
The family of Cpl. Jason Dunham received his posthumous Medal of Honor in a ceremony held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps near Quantico, Va., in January.
On April 14, 2004, in Iraq near the Syrian border, the corporal used his helmet and his body to smother an exploding Mills Bomb let loose by a raging insurgent whom Dunham and two other Marines tried to subdue.
The explosion dazed and wounded Lance Cpl. William Hampton and Pfc. Kelly Miller. The insurgent stood up after the blast and was immediately killed by Marine small-arms fire.
After the grenade exploded under Dunham's helmet, he lay face down with a few tiny pieces of shrapnel lodged in his head. The hard, molded mesh that was his Kevlar helmet was now scattered yards around into clods and shredded fabric. Dunham never regained consciousness and died eight days later at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., with his mother and father at his bedside. He was 22.
Dunham, buried in Scio, is the second warrior and first Marine to earn the medal since the war in Iraq began. On April 4, 2003, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Army Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith posthumously earned the medal for organizing a defense that held off a company-sized attack on more than 100 vulnerable coalition soldiers.
