Great post TR..That was Hilarious! Puts things in perspective in a humorous way! Were totally not going to get involved in a discussion on religion, but I will say this..

I consider myself agnostic, because I do NOT believe in the church or organised religion.
I use to work with a group of 25 men who delivered lumber, of those two claimed to be preachers, they cussed, they rough housed, they smoked, and they worked as hard as the rest of us. We were all in the break room having lunch oneday when someone yelled *Hey Scott, what is your opinion of the Bible?* I looked at my dispatcher and ask him if they really wanted to know. He laughed and said, sure tell them.
The Bible is the best selling NOVEL ever written by man. It was written in old hebrew, which even today can not be correctly translated into english.
If you're a Bible thumper, or a disbeliever, there is one phrase to remember.
God forgives ALL!
Whether you believe in Jesus, or God, or Ala, the Bible, the Coran / Qur'an (The Islamic Holy Book), they all teach tollerence.

don i agree with you that we are all prisoners of religion of some kind or another.
as the guy said at the end about romney bing brain washed as a chid and that is why he is morman and can get away from it the way i see it we all are brain washed into the religion our parent are and there parents where for that matter we all grow up going to church with our parent wheather that be morman cathlic babtist or all others. my opion on all religion is it come down to one thing faith. faith that there even is a good whether christ died for us like it says in the bible all the differant info we read about god and religion is based on faith beliveing something that someone along time ago saw or said iv never seen god or christ i really dont know if any of it really is true so if i chose to belive what everyone has to say about it i am just execising faith in that it is true. the whole reson that there is all the thousands of religions out there is because it mans intermitation of what they thing is the so called word of god or that there is one. that is one of the resions that the pilgram come to america in the first place was because the queen of england was making everyone beilve in the church and they didnt like it so they left. if you think you need religion in your life find the one that you have faith in and want to be with if you dont then dont anyway just some thought

I have nothing against someone practicing their religion in private amongst others that wish to hear it, respect it and follow the tenets of it. However, I do not wish to have it shoved down my throat. I do not want someone else's religious beliefs to become my laws. That's all I am saying. It's against the Constitution. It's illegal. Period. I will continue to complain until it stops.

Let's say that their Mosques were on every corner and adjacent to almost every public school. Let's say that the local television and other media were dominated by Islamic propganda and marketing and on and on and on..... Would the LDS cry foul???
No one should have to observe any dogma they do not believe in. It's oppression, pure and simple. It's unconstitutional and regardless of whether this country was founded by Christians or not, it's government is not suppose to allow laws that respect Christianity or any other religion. This isn't a discussion of the right to practice religion. This is a discussion regarding out right to be free from it.

Unfortunately. we all have to live by the tenents of where we live, where we work, everyday..I dont care where you live in this country, I have lived from San Diego, to Washington state, from Las Vegas, to Vermont, New York, and Mass, to Virginia, to Utah. EVERY single state has their own version of the rules..every state has its own version of opression!..and in every state I personally have lived in, Utah is not unique!..lol its just opressive in a different way as ALL the others!

I think religion has no place in politics. It leads to laws based on morals rather than laws based on individual rights. Which by the way the best candidate for individual rights is Ron Paul.
I am not an atheist, however I do not prescribe to ANY religion...Just think there is SOMETHING out there...

WOLFMAJESTIC, Utah is different than many other states in that the Church has a direct influence over legislation which is against the constitution. You are right in that other states are guilty of it. They are all in the south. LOL!

Great post, I will have to view some of his other vidoes. Most faiths have some really good moral lessons to live by (alot of them the same ones), but a few people come in trying to gain some power or influence with it and mess everything up.
T.R..man I totally agree with that! This state is run on church influence, (everyone in the country knows this) they only come here to ski!..lol. We choose to laugh in its face! I still love walking through Temple Square with my long hair and tats, and Majestics 8 tats! We love the looks we get!..because we represent The growing number of people, who dont follow the norm. and that number is growing everyday!

According to the tenets of my personal beliefs, you have the freedom to choose. If you choose to believe in God or not is beside the point. Freedom of religion as defined by the constitutuion is to worship God how you choose to do so. I believe what and how I choose to believe, if this conflicts with your beliefs then you are free to say so. That's what this country is SUPPOSED to be about. Right?
JMD8726, You are right. The constitution also states in the very same amendment that the government shall make no law that respects a religion. So, any law made that derives from a religious origin, like anti-porn, anti-gay marriage and anti-stem cell research, should not even be put in front of the people. It cannot even be presented to the people for vote if it is a basic liberty or freedom as provided in the constitution. It is illegal to pass laws that respects soley, a religion's point of view.
Laws that prevent murder, theft and other crimes that directly adversely affect others should be in place because you can't have a society if you have anarchy. However, what I do in the privacy of my home with myself or other consenting adults is no one's business, but the parties involved. The church can take a flying fucking leap, with regard to matters concerning my personal libery and freedom. Slowly but surely, we are losing our freedom to religious oppression. The shit they get away with here in Utah is a fuckin outrage. So, as my way of protesting, I will continue to voice my opinion through writing on many forums, including this one. ;-)
