It seems as though it's mostly Texas in the news lately. It appears in Texas, you can shoot fleeing burglars in the back, in cold blood, but you can't fuck who you want. Still more hypocrisy from the church.

It is absolutely amazing that people can't live their own lives without someone finding fault with what they are doing. Just because we choose to enjoy a "different" lifestyle then other people doesn't automatically make it bad/wrong/evil(insert any adjuctive wanted). Until people can just let others be happy, without trying to save the world from things they don't believe in, we will always face this kind of publicity. As long as "WE" are happy with our lives and our decisions let them say anything they want.

Just a side note. Please do include the part in "Let me live my own life" that says that you can as long as it doesn't drag people who are unwilling into it.
"drag" should be defined. Most of the time Religious nut jobs, stick their fuckin nose where it doesn't belong. Take the fuckin Utah judge trying to close down a restaurant for giving out bingo tickets during dinner. What a fuckin joke. Mor_ons influencing the government by making laws that unconstitutionally respect religion. Did I forget a letter? OOOPS.

the morals of a community should prevail. if those of us dont like the prevailing morality then there is other places we can move to. Oh i forgot, we live here because of the great schools, outstanding graduation rates, low crime rate, great job market.
who is the mor-ons
I grew up in the south where other religions prevailed, yet the education levels were pethetic, and the crime rate considerably higher. We may not agree with the preveailing religion, but its the reason Utah is such an attractive place to live.
Sure there are problems, I always felt the prevailing religion is too sheepish about allowing those who disagree to survive here. Why let in othere woh can only complain succeed. The last city we lived in it took a drive of 40 miles to get a drink, dancing was against the law. If you didnt belong to one of two churches you you did not work, pure and simple. The school system was 100% members of the dominant religion. And it wasnt mormons.
I think the bottom line is we are successful here and live here because of the climate of this state created by the morality of the prevailing religion and their openess to others.
THere are those who are nut jobs, I have folks in my neighborhood wont let their children play with mine, but thats not the teaching of the mormon church, its the narrowmindednsess of a select few. just as select and narrowminded as some that are on this website.

SIMPLEPLEASURES,
The education here is among the worst, the crime rate is no lower than most other states in the Pacific Northwest and the sex offender rate is staggering here.
Congress shall make no law that respects an establishment of religion. It's there to prevent such bullshit. It doesn't matter if the majority in one area wants it or not. The U.S. "Federal" Constitution's First Amendment, is suppose to prevent this from happening.
Such matters should never even come before the people to be voted on by the majority. What we do in our private lives has nothing to do with the public and as such, is beyond the reach of the church (ideally) or any of its self-righteous hypocritical followers.
Furthermore, if you feel so strongly about the community and it's majorities' moral strength, then why are you a member of this website. How can you call yourself a swinger? The majority of this state would not agree with your membership of this website. Adultry is illegal in Utah and yet here you are. :-) Who is the mor-on indeed?

Wow, did you come up with that yourself??? I think you should take some classes on American Government. You'll find that religion isn't suppose to have the power to "let people survive". I included a video for ya. Do take a look.

Can you believe one guy in the article compared swingers to pedophiles?!
Yes, I can believe it. People are stubbornly ignorant.
