I just love my Honda VTX. But I would ride a Harley or a Custom or pretty much anything else when the day is warm and the canyon is empty
I would ride anything (except a scooter) but prefer my Kawi. I ride with cruisers but they always get mad at me for kicking up the pace a bit in the twisties.
We all ride for the passion of riding and we all enjoy different styles. It's all about having fun and being safe doing it.
Just give me a bike that I can wear the tires out within 2000-3000 canyon miles and I'm happy.

But I always dreamed of owning a Harley since the day I first jumped on my Father's 1981 Harley Low Rider. SECOND GENERATION HARLEY OWNER!

I was building the excitement! Oh what a beauty! too bad we only ride 5 months a year here.
I have always owned a Honda, started with an 71 SL 350 enduro, crashed it, got a 450 nighthawk, then bought this 1100cc shadow.
I dont care what anyone rides, all I care about is they ride safely, they ride defencively, and they ride smart. NO matter what kind or size car, truck, tree, or fence you run into, as a rider, you and your bike ALWAYS lose!
I would enjoy owning a Harley, and plan to do so before I retire, I also want an American Ironhorse Slammer 124cid, joker controls, custom paint, polished off with a Smoking Hotttt Babe... lol
Hell right now I'd settle with a Hot Babe, well ok, a Babe, ok ok a lady who will ride with me when the weather is warm enough... lol
Cheers to ALL you riders! May you stay SAFE, and live forever!

my favorite rides
Heres my ride parked in the shade at Lamphere campground, Sturgis South Dakota. If you have the balls to ride, Dodging the cell phone, make up applying, latte drinking, head up their ass people with 4 wheels and doors, then what does it matter what you are riding when they run ya down LOL. Seriously the only problem I have is with the trailers in the background of the pic. If you are going to a Rally ride the fucking thing. Peace and keep it on the wheels. Mitch and Red.
Am I the only one with a European bike here?
Shekki isn't that fast really....Just kidding. I can't keep up with him. I have tried but failed. He must have bigger balls than me. It also doesn't hurt that his bike has 350 cc more than mine.
We just enjoy riding period

Have to agree with the wifey
Just enjoy the ride you have!

On the topic of American made bikes.
Isnt every bike built by OCC american made?
What about those made by Jessie James?
And all these other Custom bike builders in America?
All I care about is that the guy/gal beside me is on BOTH wheels, not ONE!
I'm about riding, be it alone or in a group, and doing it safely!
Riding on ONE wheel, especially on a highway, and in a group, is NOT SAFE!
While some of us ask if she would like to ride bitch, that doesnt mean she is a bitch!
It's my opinion, that many riders especially touring and cruise bike riders, watch out
for each other, and will assist almost any rider we find broke down on the road.
We also laugh at those riders who act like idiots, and say to ourselves *they will be
scooping him up with a shovel*. We also feel its those who ride recklessly who give
ALL riders a bad name, and reputation.
We need a huge SWINGULAR summer fun time ride. As many riders from Swingular coming together for a charity of some sort. Maybe a toys for children, most fire departments will hand out toys to children who they rescue. Would be a worthy cause.

crossing seven mile bridge.
I have had Crotch rockets, rice burners, Norton's, BSA's, Triumps's, Knuckle heads, Pan Heads, Shovel Heads, Iron Heads, Evo's, Never had a Fat Head but wouldn't mind one. Wanting one of those 154 HP at the rear tire K engine BMW's right now, Currently have A 74 Iron Head Custom Sporty -- a girls bike--- which has a better HP:weight ratio than the Big V twins stock, and this one ain't stock, and is a real looker with fat bobs, wide glide front end, 3" lower, forward controls, open drag pipes, punched out, cams etc. Also have a daily rider that is a 1998 Road King Classic 95th Anniversary edition that is a fine motor scooter. I would like to have that early 1970's 3 cyl, 2 stroke Kaw 750.... they are economical bad ass rice burning gas drag bikes with minimal mods like stiff rear struts, a little port job, beef the chain up.... excellent street drag or ET bike,,,,,..... If you can ride!
I have yet to find a scoot that I have not had a damn good time on, to include a 1959 Cushman Eagle 8 hp motor scooter! Awsome little scoot!
Biker's... are riders in my book! I enjoy the ride.... let me know if y'all are looking to put a ride together.... we are always wanting an excuse.......
Thanx everyone! You helped me remember what the ride is all about; no matter what you are riding.....

Riderz,
I've only had mine to about 130, but that was fast enough considering we were dodging cows and sheep.
Hey Ninja boy: I've got new tires and clip ons so you're in trouble on Sunday!
Anyone wanna guess what kind of bike this is?

Would that be 7 mile bridge between Corpus Christi, and Portland Texas?
I've been on that many times, but never on my bike. I lived in CC almost 3yrs.
I worked for myself, and found a job on Naval Air Station CC Army Depot, as a mech
on the air craft refueling tankers. Most fun I've ever had! It was exciting to refuel
the MH53 Blackhawk while it was still running. 7 overhead rotor blades, and 5 tail rotor
blades. What a rush!
I'm looking to get back down to CC this coming summer.
Hey NONAME4NOW
Slow down Friend! Stop, take 3 deeeeeppppp breaths, its ok, realllly!
Anyone reading this who is a TRUE biker can understand your enthusiasm!
For many riding season is over, for others there is still time and weather to ride,
and there are a few who can actually ride year round. Yet others will ride no matter what the weather is like, snow, rain, or very cold...
Enjoy

We love our little K75. I ride every day to work and we head to the Western NC mountains every chance we get. Weather it's just a day ride or camping it's nice to have some of the best bike roads within an hour of home. Took this in Maggie Valley this summer. Stoped when the odometer said 66,666 miles. A fitting time for a pic.
here is one of Deb on the BRP about a month ago. Camped at the Blue Ridge MC Campground and are heading home. VERY nice day.
lol HERE..HERE APLOSISE........ya see...you tell em EGERTWO.........SCFORFUN...got to love them beautifull beemers
this is my bike it is a 1975 xlch1000 all original and has been in the family sence day 1, so it is not the newest but I love riding it when I can and it doesn't matter what kind of bike any other riders have when they ride with me.:h
For the record i don't give a shit what anyone rides.I will not ride a jap bike nor will I drive a jap car.As far as being a racial slur I am talking about motorcycles not the people of japan.Regardless where bike is made my concern is where the money goes. The only reason honda and the rest build bikes here is because the government made them.As far as content I'm sorry but I think you are wrong on that 88% figure. It does not make sence to me that Harley would import parts while the jap manufacturer are making theirs here.I would like to see where you obtained that info. And yes I realize alot if not most electronics are made in japan with other things also, but I will buy American when possible. All motorcycles built to day are reliable.the only problems I have had have electrical. That's with over 70,000 miles.anyone know what a,oh let's say a 1975 honda is worth. How about a 1975 Harley? You could put in whatever year you want and it is still the same,Harleys hold value way better than the overseas manufacturer.(is that better for you)?
Now to Rooster;do you know me that you can make such a statement that I would ride on by some one broke down?Do you always stop for some one sitting on the shouder as i have had lots of riders go by me when i have pulled off.Once with a flat and several times to answer the phone or some other personal thing.Would you stop for one of those in the pic attached?hope it attaches now.Like I said ride what you want but don't hate me just because I won't ride what you do. Y'all have a great turkey day now ya hear.

Went on a local toy run last weekend and took this on the way hme. just turned over 70K So many roads....So little time
I guess pic will not download.Must be too large.
Hey Highway
You know, I think the whole thing got way out of hand, and some took your comment wrong. We ALL have the right to ride what we like or can afford. I ride a Honda for two reasons, Honda is what I have always ridden, and due to circumstances its all I can afford. Would I ride a Harley? Hell yes!
In most cases, riding a Harley gets a lot of attention, and respect, but it will also get you laid more often than riding any other brand of motorcycle. NOT a bad thing! LOL
Something I havent ask you is this, you claim not to care what others ride, so would you ride in a group if you were the only Harley there? My guess is yes, but that may be assuming too much on my part.
To EVERYONE!!!!!
If you own a bike, ride as often as possible, ride safely, and when on doubt, LET THE CAR or TRUCK go FIRST!!! LOL
Oh and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

yes I will ride with people who ride jap bikes. We have good friends who both(he and she)ride honda. Now no offence meant in saying this and think about it,have you ever heard some one who has a Harley say they would like to ride a honda instead?Just an observation,be honest with yourselves and think about it.It used to be while living a 1%er lifestyle I would not even ride with a female rider but on the other hand i did not wife swap either. Now I do both.I hope this ends all the bs if not bring on some more questions and I will try to answer. The pic I that did not download was of an Outlaws member and a Vagos member from california.

what ever cycle you ride always be safe and look out for the guys in the cages (CARS) but i look at all the cycles on the market and harley still rules.
