Oddly, I can understand people outside of the viewing medium but videos and whatnot without subtitling I cant understand well...

Can you recap what he's talking about?
I say religion, sexual preference, etc.. are all personal convictions that each and everyone of us practice, or indulge in at our own levels of belief. Faith and sexuality have had roles back to the beginning of time. What's accepted and what isn't definitely has opinions and pre-conditions formed at very early ages by religion and/or up-bringing.

Obviously, most of the people on this site don't practice religion or if they do, border on the lines of hypocrisy. When people ask the question, "Do Mormons swing"? I say yes they do. I also say they go to church for social acceptance and to keep their families led along the righteous path, unlike themselves.

I see fornication and adultery as man-made forms of guilt. On the other hand, I believe you need to have some sort of trust, and faith in your partner about sleeping around. If it isn't something that is accepted in your relationship, then doing it would be considered cheating and not right. Not necessarily in a religious context, but in more of a humanitarian one. People still have feelings and people still need to have faith, and trust in each other. If a person, or a couple decide to have sex outside of wedlock, so be it! It will be a shame if those living a life on the straight and narrow realize (or don't when they die), that they were missing out on all of the pleasures life has to offer because some old man sitting on a podium told them it was wrong.

When the Lord parts the seas, turns the moon to red, or makes a physical appearance proclaiming his omnipotence, then and only then will I change my ways. Until then, the proof is in the pudding (still waiting for the pudding). So, we'll continue our quest for and indulgence in the lust for flesh.

As far as homosexuality. Even though I
We've loved Pat Condell for quite some time...'bout time you posted his stuff Don!
Thought Garden,

I've been posting it in the Group for awhile. Do you ever see him on any other site besides liveleak?

2LUVHOTSEX,

The points he makes is that other's religion often "has a go" at all of us. Religion affects all of us and not all of us appreciate it. I, like Mr. Condell have absolute no issue with you own wishes to practice and observe religion, just don't expect everyone else to. That's not the case though. Religion infects society. Mr. Condell is just trying to tell his side of it all. It's not unlike all those little 19 year old boys in suits on bikes preaching their "message". They're just using a different means to do it.

-D-
2LUV...Pat Condell actually has many little "discussions" that treat a variety of subjects, most more "heaveyweight", that deal with not only Christianity, but Islam and much of the absurdity of organized religion in general.

Give them a look...you may find them amusing. As for him "attacking" any one person's specific belief system, I don't believe him to making it a personal issue...just look at it as him merely sharing his "beliefs", much as say...the Mormon missionaries do when they show up on your doorstep and mention the fact that unless you belong to their club, pay the club fees, and honor the club president...you're not gonna see your maker again. :)

Don: We've found his material on most of the popular streaming sites....outside of LiveLeak.
Speaking of "Have a go". I'd like to "Have a go" at the hottie on the chair in Thoughtgardens main pic... Gotta love that bod J, you lucky sum B..

;)
Ya...YOU'RE one to talk K! But thank you...miss ya guys!
I got a kick out of 98% of what he said. Nice voice too.... and I mean that in a manly way!
TR........ I am probably showing my computer stupidity again, but wtf. What's up with the video stopping every couple of seconds (buffering) ? It is aggravating.
WETTFEM,

Trix is right. Your connection speed has a lot to do with it. Not to mention your connection type. If you have cable, you are sharing your bandwidth with people on your street. While this isn't so much of an issue anymore, it still affects your connection. If you are DSL, you are subject to the distance you are from the nearest telephone exchange. All connections are affected by the route between you and the information being served as well. There are other factors. Live Leak's bandwidth to traffic ratio has an impact, which is directly affected by what time of day it is and what day of the week it is. The list goes on.

Thanks Trixie and TR.......... Guess there's nuttin I can do. We have dsl, but have never had this problem before. Thanks again for your support.
I love satire
I do as well, when it's called for. It is definetly justified in this instance. Mr. Condell's message serves only the betterment of humankind. Someone needs to be the voice that speaks out against religious oppression.

The only difference is that Christianity directly controls many aspects of our lives, whether we want it to or not; whereas Atheism does not. Abortion, stem cell research, cloning, adultry, prostitution, gambling, strong alcohol and many other choices/liberties that are denied us, are denied us because "Religious" zealots wish to force their dogma on the world. Despite how their religion teaches free will and judgement should only come from their god, religion is filled with many hypcrites that us our government as a platform to deal their opressive dogma. That's the point he's trying to make.

Wow I had never heard anything by him before but I like the guy. Very interesting valid points he brings up!
SIN,

That is the point of spreading the word like Pat Condell does. To shed a different perspective on things. So that it isn't just the Christians getting heard. So that some of the "majority" can be brought to reason. Thanks for helping prove my point. :)

Did the clouds part and the trumpets sound for you too??? LOL!

In my many years on this earth and having friends from a high number of differing social, religious, and moral levels, I have said for years, "you have never seen a sick mind, until you see a mind doing god's work". Half a century ago, I cast off the burden of religious membership put upon me by a parent who had no concept of free choice, in my teens I questioned and when I did get any answer, was soo stupid and unqualified, I would cry, if it were not so funny....I have had gay friends, I have participated in straight, gay, bi sex, whatever name is chosen at the moment and feel as if I am exercising ALL the franchises given to me by a god, IF THERE IS ONE....I vascillate between athiesm and agnostic depending on my frustration at the moment of the religious order in the different world of yewtah. But have never knowingly hurt or taken advantage of any other human being I have ever dealt with, loved, or shared a moment. If there is a hereafter, I am certain I am NOT going to be caste out because I have eaten pussy or sucked cock. If there is no afterlife, I have enjoyed and shared love and pleasure as the opportunity presented itself.

I am not bigoted, tho church tried to teach me to be....I do have personal standards and there are some people who do not meet them. Not because of color, origin, or orientation, but because they are hygenically dirty, stinking breath and/or crotch..or an attitude that shows a total lack of self respect which in turn generates lack of respect for all others....

My one hope in life that that we all could be free to live under the golden rule...do unto others, and if you enjoy it do it again....LOVE, Jim
