Swingers Forum - Is it just me on this?

Maybe it's me, but when I see a couple that has been this or another site for longer than a year and no certifications...it makes me wonder if they are real or if they are not really interested in meeting people.

Your thoughts on this?
We used to go by certs too but learned that some nuts have a few paid priofiles and cert themselves so you can not tell the certs are for real. Now this has all taken place in Florida so who knows if it is just here or not.
We are real and have been in the lifestyle for some 11 years. Active in quite a number of clubs and there are people on here that were on SwingDater who can verify that we are real... If I have to prove something with a verification that could be a picture .... That proves nothing except that I can find a lady to take a picture with and verify that we joned the site on a certain date..... So Verification is of little REAL use... We've never gone after certification on any of the sites we are on but have been verified by people we know on a couple of the sites unasked,,,by us....I've never been sure what purpose verification really plays.... Just my thoughts...

All you have to do to get a real stamp is 1) meet someone that is VIP in person. 2) Cam up with a VIP and show both of you interacting. 3) Meet the owner. The intent behind verification is not to give you the impression that a SEAL makes a couple 100% verified. It's just more likely they are legit. Nothing is 100%. This is just another tool you have at your disposal to make a decision to meet the couple.

Question on top of a question but.....Does anyone ever really pay attention to that real stamp? Does it make a difference to anyone when deciding to meet someone?
We finally got a "real seal", hasn't made a lick of difference so.......does it really matter? We were as real before as we are now.
~K~
We do pay attention to the real seal. We generally won't give out much info to someone who isn't validated.
But that being said: we also give them out to people that will play along with our Verification song and dance.
I think it all carries weight and then again, none at all. It's all about how people interact with me. I'd give much more weight to what others say about them. If they have a positive comment from someone I know, I'll be much more trusting.

Enjoy!

we living in idaho had to send in a picture with the date and such was over a year ago the last time i did so and have never been certified or even recieved an e-mail from someone telling me i was in fact fake so guess we are just not the pouplar kids in school
we have been members of this site for a couple of years now, and havent had the chance to get certified..... does it make that much of a difference?

Ok.. let me ask a big question..

Does someone being certified mean to YOU, they are real people and are IN the lifestyle, anymore than someone who isnt?

And lets be honest about one more fact, While we enjoy our membership here, WE like MANY others are members of OTHER SITES..

So, again.. Whats the big deal...

Is there a LOYALTY BONUS? Beyond the refer a freind?

personally, the fact that someone SIGNS in at least once a week is a much more telling bit of information that if they are certified or not
We have been members of this site for some time. Nope, we aren't certified, but we are also quite a ways from nearly all of you, and really haven't had time to mingle with ANYONE. We do find it nice to send an email or two to people who share our same opinions on swinging, or have similar interests. Yes, when the dust settles in our lives, we will once again "hook up", but for now, it's nice to have like-minded company in cyberspace. Is that a bad thing? Does that make us fakes? Naaah... We just orbit pluto-like and keep in touch with friends. We are however, as real as they come ;)
We don't have a seal.... but we have done fine with out it. Even though some cpl tried to bash us on a forum for not having the seal.... Well this is our thought: our bio is like a commercial or a billboard for people or cpls to contact us but you know the best recommendations come from "word of mouth", that is the best advertisement, seal, or certification you can have. I know many of you are going to agree with me on this one; when you do meet a cpl, you form a special bond or friendship with ones more than others but the closest ones, we talk about everything. I have met a lot of friends in the lifestyle that tell me don't talk to this one, they are fakes or that cpl is awesome, if you ever get a chance go out with them, they are great.... I know am not the only one out there that does this... we keep an eye out for each other. We don't go into details but we do comment on how the night, day or evening went. That's what friends do, look out for each other.

Just my cpl of cents on this topic... and what has worked for us... wish all the best
